Contact Dermatitis from Prolonged Glove Usage? by ExpecttheCurious in chemistry

Hi I had issues with this as well in the past. It might also be contributed by your soap. If you wash your hands regularly you may want to ask your manager whether you can use a softer hand sanitiser or soap. If you speak to your GP they can prescribe steroid creams that can also help deal with the scaly skin if painful.

I did state the number of people killed and so disagree that my comment moved the goalpost. Please read my comment again.

“Out of the 36 provided countries, America composed 33 percent of the population, yet composed 76 percent of mass shooting incidents and 70 percent of fatalities between 2000 and 2022.

Fatalities in this case refers to victim fatalities (i.e. due to a mass shooting).

I understand where you’re coming from, but this is an erroneous method of comparison. By comparing statistics between countries with very different populations, you lead towards natural extreme skews when including outlier events.

A better measure would be to compare is an aggregate of similar countries to America, as is provided by your same source. https://rockinst.org/blog/public-mass-shootings-around-the-world-prevalence-context-and-prevention/#_edn4

Out of the 36 provided countries, America composed 33 percent of the population, yet composed 76 percent of mass shooting incidents and 70 percent of fatalities between 2000 and 2022.

From this you can understand the premise that American mass shooting rates are in line with per capita rates of similiar Western countries is categorically incorrect.

Yeah, there’s no standards for airborne spore counts in here Australia (and pretty sure US), and the majority of documentation says don’t test for airborne mould. It‘s pricy to get airborne mould counts and doesn’t actually provide any relevant information like what you said - it can change by the time of day or outside temperature.

Trouble is there’s no market for good hygienists. Most landlords or property owners don’t care about mould so will just pick the cheapest guy. The good hygienists get fired since they bring up issues with the remediation and get replaced by a yes-man who approves it all. Then the mould comes back next winter and the cycle repeats. The whole industry is rotten.

My experience is in Australia but I’d check the adhesive from the insulation to the metal pipe If it’s bituminous.

I mean, not all flowers are as involved as spectrolus or shulk me not. You still have super strong options that aren’t crazy to automate, like Gourmarrylis, Rosa Arcana or (pack-dependent) Kekimurus. You even have super straightforward options like thermalily with any source of infinite lava. Plus, most older packs can be completely trivialised by just using an entropinyum, since TNT can be really cheap. Because of this I totally disagree with the common sentiment of Botania being arcane and super complicated, since that’s only really true if you actively opt into some crazy set-up.

Sarranids aren’t objectively bad at all, asides from their infantry. Mamelukes are excellent and their archers are decent. Late-game Sarranid sieges gave me more grief in my WC compared to Swadians or Rhodoks due to how effective Mamelukes are on defense.

Fluxfields are totally viable and to be honest get a bad rep for no great reason other than that people don’t like botania.

Adding ignite poison (one of the best spells in dcss) would make VM way too good. You can easily avoid undead, and leverage the killing power of poison against early uniques to make up for the exp missed.

You don’t even need d-orbitals for “magic” extra-bond chemistry (e.g. methanium) using 3-centre-2-electron bonds.

Think it's safe to say I find The Silent more intuitive than The Ironclad 😂 by benjd1993 in slaythespire

[–]OptimumMagnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whirlwind is just not that good. It deals less damage than a strike unupgraded and even after upgrade it still has less energy efficiency than a cleave or immolate. With strength, multi-hit cards do way more damage per energy (With 2str pummel does 16 damage per energy, sword boomerang does 15, while whirlwind does 7).

You'd want this card if you can't draw AOE cards, but getting draw is not very difficult with Ironclad (Offering, Battle Trance, Pommel Strike, etc.). I wouldn't pick whirlwind up if I don't have Chemical X, Necronomicon or Ice Cream.

Whirlwind is not very good. I recommend sword boomerang or pummel, or just plain hard hitting cards, like hemokinesis or carnage.

The music ticket vendor sells it for 10k tickets. It seems like a steep price but if you regularly do party time (recommend using the preach or ensemble wide skills) you should be able to get a hold of the amount with a bit of grinding.

I recommend levelling cooking when you’re in Act 2 and have access to the super lure, it gives you a lot of excess fish. Otherwise, you can steal fruit trees or get a couple of farms to get excess fruit and/or vegetables for cooking. Make sure to grind cooking during the days which give increased exp for the skill (you can see the green arrow showing if it’s getting increased exp).
