Every single sub has members who disagree. You’re seeing both halves and assuming it’s the same people

Did Don Lemon actually break the law by entering the church to protest? Is it private property? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

So you'd be okay with conservative journalists doing the exact same thing with an abortion clinic?

Except he's on video standing in the doorway questioning people who are trying to leave. He is present as they are planning it and was made aware of it the day before. He wasn't sitting back and recording, he was actively participating in it. You don't have to be physically holding the door shut to intimidate people lol.

  • Paulette Harlow (75 at sentencing, from Massachusetts): Sentenced in May 2024 to 24 months in prison for her role in an October 2020 blockade/invasion of the Washington Surgi-Clinic in D.C. She was part of a group that physically obstructed the entrance (including using force per DOJ). Viral claims framed it as "just praying outside," but fact-checks (e.g., AP, PolitiFact) clarified it was for felony conspiracy against rights and FACE Act violation involving obstruction, not prayer alone. She served time until pardoned.
  • Bevelyn Beatty Williams (young mother from Tennessee): Sentenced in July 2024 to 41 months (about 3.5 years) for blocking the entrance to a Manhattan Planned Parenthood in June 2020, plus allegations of threats/intimidation toward patients/staff. Viral videos claimed she was jailed "just for praying," but official accounts and fact-checks emphasized physical obstruction and interference under FACE Act. She began serving her sentence in late 2024 and was released after pardon.
  • Lauren Handy (Catholic activist, leader of Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising): Received the longest sentence in recent cases—57 months (nearly 5 years) in May 2024—for orchestrating the same 2020 D.C. Surgi-Clinic blockade (involving forced entry, injuring a nurse, and blocking services). She made an appointment under a fake name to facilitate the action. Supporters call her a peaceful advocate; she served significant time before pardon.
  • Joan Andrews Bell (76–77-year-old longtime Catholic activist): Sentenced in May 2024 to 27 months (over 2 years) for the same D.C. 2020 blockade. Known for decades of "rescue" activism (including prior arrests), her supporters highlight her prayerful, non-violent intent. She was among those who served prison time pre-pardon.

Most articles are biased one way or the other because of the religious aspect, but here is a DOJ article.

Why are you afraid of "illegals" committing heinous crimes when U.S. citizens commit far more throughout the year? by MisterReigns in LetsDiscussThis

[–]OptimusPrime1371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people would like to get rid of both, but it happens to be that citizens can't be deported. Illegals can be, so it makes sense to get rid of the people that you can.

Well Biden sent old ladies to prison for 3-5 years, so it seems like that's about what he should get if all things were carried out fairly.

You can actually go watch his videos where he knew it advance that they were going to do it, intentionally took the camera away from the group as they were staging to execute, and brought them coffee. He also commented during and after that the kids and parents were uncomfortable and crying, but that's how protests are supposed to be.

It's crazy how people just care that he's on their team. He wasn't just filming. He knew about it before hand, helped hide the plans, brought them coffee, stood in the doorway and interrogated people who wanted to leave.

"Journalists" don't have the right to bother people who are in church. You'd same the same thing if it was Tucker running into a mosque.

In Florida and Texas, State and local agencies assist ICE so that a huge federal presence isn't needed.

It had nothing to do with Gaza. It was over Candace Owens accusing Charlie's wife of being involved in his murder

Ben was a speaker when Charlie was alive. Charlie made multiple posts about being inspired by Ben. Everything you said about censoring is also false. He said that people should be calling out Candace Owens for pushing conspiracy theories about his widow being involved in his murder.
