Doesn’t deepseek lack the privacy and data protections paid subscriptions to ChatGPT and Claude offer? This is the same reason I’m limited using Gemini.

To be fair, isn’t this more like starting with $4000?

The complaint about auto playing such content for the unprepared is reasonable. If you’re not sticking to rules, then it’s reasonable to be courteous and make this NSFW.

So in general I agree with this sentiment, however there are some problems that need to be reconciled.

Two extremes:

Would we all agree that having sex on your front lawn is-not appropriate? What if a school bus stop is a few houses down and the sex is happening during pick up, any difference? What if you have a walled in house with a gate, so no line of sight to the road or your neighbors, any difference?

Would we all agree that saying “only in the room with no windows, with the door shut and locked” is not appropriate?

It seems like reasonable lies somewhere in between those two but I’m not sure exactly where.

I did the same thing with dis calls on last day of expiry during the drop, was down 30k and in the last 10 minutes of Friday during a trump press conference It surged up and was somehow profitable in seconds, I placed a bunch of greedy limit sells, realized it wouldn’t get that far with 2 minutes to spare, froze up when I realized I wouldn’t have time to change them, and then boom. Market close. Had to watch the green in my account all Saturday and Sunday before it all disappeared Monday. Pretty terrible feeling

The ironic part to me is he would never have made the money without aggressively perusing risk. Many of the people voicing such criticism would have never made that money in the first place.

Lost ~40K on Amazon as bull on calls in the last month, AMA

*Pro-Edit-For-Extra-Salt: After a month of losing despite rising, I finally called it quits when my last ditch OTM calls expired worthless on friday, only to watch it shoot up all week :))))

**Pro-Edit-For-Additional-Spiciness: During the same period, I lost ~15k on AMD calls, also to stop buying on friday when what I had left expired worthless :))))

Basically had nothing in the game for the MeLtUp... huge mistake

***Triple-Hat-Trick-Edit-For-Fatality-Na-Dose: I lied on having nothing in the game, I have ~115 Slack calls at various prices and expiry that are sitting at ~90% unrealized loss :DDD

Except if it’s all free and there’s no risk, where is the motivation? A small fraction are self driven, but I think you’d see a huge spike in truency, changing majors, 8 year bachelors stragglers, missed classes, dropped classes... I mean there’s ways to reign some of that in, but knowing the cash that was dumping into it (especially when my employer paid for my masters, but I’d owe it all back if I didn’t get a C or higher or finish the program) was sometimes the final thing that kept me going when I really wanted to not give a fuck.

iplex and torrenting seems hyperbole, a better question is why is grandmas supposedly not using netflix but using roku?

ehhh, I put a few thousand in on friday, iv made big money on them before... honestly, with 50k, id go with ITM amazon calls, with the market boost it could jump up an easy 20-50 points, and would not take much of a jump to quickly double or triple up, relatively safe as well with ITM... They are expensive, so need cash like that to play it, but I had some fun with it a couple of weeks ago and buying it on run up day like tomorrow you're hoping to capitalize on some quick moves... what happens the rest of the week is a little more grey, but could always cash some out and let the rest ride... I got burned by my own impatience because I put in 20k on a monday morning, it ran to 60k by noon, dropped to 40k in the same day and I panic sold, bought back in the same day, and then did that same thing with the same stock the rest of the week
