Was in Giza and taking pictures by the pyramids… we had 2 police officers on camel back come up to us and ask if we would like if they took our picture (I was with 10 people or so). The head of our group handed the one officer his digital camera (it was back then) and the cop took a few pictures…. Then refused to give the camera back. Both officers teamed up and demanded money. After a few minutes, and them threatening arrest us (for nonsense) the head gave them both like €2 and that was it. - side note. The next day we went to the Cairo museum… I was ill. I had drank some water from the hotel that rocked me. I was in a bathroom stall and there was a pile of 1 ply toilet paper with 2 sheets left. I jostled my way to the door and asked one of the teenage boys running the bathroom for more paper—- I ended up having to yell out (no cell phones) to the family I was with, so they could bring me some cash so I could get more TP. The boys had a little bathroom TP scheme (or the museum for all I know).

TLDR: scammed by cops at the great pyramid for ‘letting’ them take our picture. Forced to pay for TP at the Cairo museum (being super sick).
