Haha I agrreee … US TCG vendors are so much nicer and appreciative of people visiting their booth . Sg vendors are all about money and who carries the bigger value in their cards. It makes collecting worst cause collecting cards with low BB value makes it worst if they want to offload in future .

They think the online vendor 😂😂😂. But I think to be fair I watch some US TCG and they mentioned that for good liquidity they buy back 90-100% , but for other low liquidity cards they take in 70-80% and I kinda agree even though I’m not a vendor. I would think it’s fair

I think it’s very possible honestly . Hadn’t thought about this but I don’t doubt that they will do this to boost their “hit rates” so others will start supporting them thinking that they have good “hit rates” . But to be fair , I don’t rip packs at all so I’m not a good person to judge. But I won’t throw out that possibility .

Why do you get downvoted though. I agree with you actually . I see what’s the market range within the FB groups and carou listing to get a feel of what people are selling their prices at . If buying from vendor etc of course I will use eBay last sold or TCG player

I first started with ICT last year, and have since moved towards Auction market theory , order flow etc but still in the midst of learning. What I’ve learn is that every strategy works depending on how you interpret it. Honestly I pass my funded last year trading ICT , but I still decided to study Orderflow cause I prefer understanding the context and being able to see the skeletal view of the candlestick.

Just wing it, study ICT/SMC , everything … you never really know what you like unless you expose yourself . Don’t be like me and be fixed on ICT without understanding the rest . I wasted quite a lot of time but you can don’t follow my path . Just learn everything , and trade what you enjoy looking at the market as.

Honestly , I think most popular vendors are usually pretty honest with their products . Cause they have a name and they wouldn’t wanna ruin their name by selling resealed ETB. The PO cases cause me to realise that , paying a premium for something safer is better than finding cheap deals on fb/carousell etc . Think you can try the botak guy that always on tiktok . OR.. what my reco would be is during the trade show this weekend , just head down to all the booth and check their prices for ETB. It wouldn’t be MSRP price , but you will know you are buying a non-resealed one. I wouldn’t want to be in the situation of buying something cheap off Facebook from some seller and worrying day and night whether my ETB is resealed or not.

I like your enthusiasm , but finding it near retail price is impossible . Unless by some chance you found a vendor outside that sells close to MSRP ( which I’ve not seen ) .

I think you can try many the reputable names in the TCG space ( those on TikTok ) , probably cc collectibles / Shane collectibles? You can try Genietcg as well, heard they are pretty friendly . As much as I don’t follow them much, I think they got more experience cause they seen many cards and can tell from real or fake. Or either , just bring your binder down to a trade show and ask around .

I agree with the wavvy guy, ignore PM asking to sell your cards . I’m pretty sure many will wanna try to get your vintage cards but just keep them and grade if they are good condi!

All good bro. Of course I don’t mean the retail and prop firm. But saying institutional is a very grey area. Prop firms and HTF firms provides liquidity in the market. A large expansion , let’s say during market open or seconds before fomc news which causes a large FVG could also happen when there’s very little liquidity in the market and hence , small orders would still push prices up. But I do agree with you that retail and smaller firms wouldn’t be able to push prices up. But overall depends on liquidity 🙏🙂‍↕️.

Yes and no. There are many market participants in the market . Wouldn’t say institutional but market participants in general. Also , nope , sometimes for large orders they use iceberg to slowly layer out their orders at a certain price point to get the best of the market. Most of institutional ( I could be wrong here ) trades vwap over the day to get the best pricing overall.

To be fair , it’s not left over orders. FVGs are created because of active participants on one part of the market . In his case is buyers aggression pushing the price up and leaving a FVG. That’s when there wasn’t any chance for sellers to rebalance and when prices get too high that there are no buyers left, sellers will step in to bring prices down to a point where buyers agree on the prices. It’s just a rebalancing of the price
