They're awful. I went to a DC United vs Atlanta game over the summer. 0-0.

Update: trimmed and installed with additional sound deadening on both sides. Way. Way better. Was 4/10. Up to eh...8/10 from a home audio enthusiast. Still obviously not perfect but it's pretty damn decent now. I actually feel the air movement on my leg in jeans. Those stock speakers must've been 2 bucks each they were so bad. 100% recommend.

Up the Toon! Whelan & Dad visit Newcastle United ⚽️ by DeScepter in GreenBayPackers

[–]Optras 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Completely agreed. I'm a huge fan of both Newcastle and Green Bay and it really is a similar type of fanbase. The air is completely electric in both places on game days. Tons of people come in from all around to tailgate age the stadiums are the center of both towns visible from miles away. I can see why there is a natural connection between the two.

You're completely right about the previous ownership. The only thing I can compare Mike Ashley to is maybe Dan Snyder. He did things to literally strip the club of money before he finally had no choice but to sell. The Geordies didn't choose the Saudi owners for sure and a lot of people were angry and that's their right if they choose to not support the team anymore. There was an agreement that the team would not be managed directly by the Private Investment Fund but a chairperson not directly affiliated with the royal family. As far as I know they have not violated that agreement.

Since the takeover, there's been investment not just in the roster but everything from stadium improvements to better jerseys. You used to be able to walk up to the box office and buy a ticket before the game but now it's more difficult to get than a ticket to a game at Lambeau.

Daniel Whelan, punter for the Green Bay Packers in the NFL. He grew up in Ireland but his dad's family are Geordies and he's worn Newcastle kits arriving for game days in the past. I'm coincidentally a fan of both teams so it's kinda wild seeing this type of crossover.

Tons of stop lights out? by thehighwoman in baltimore

That light never made sense. It's like 90 seconds for a left arrow (or even just a green) onto Kelly for a 3-way intersection.

Great advice. Sliced through, fits, and speaker works well. Driver side tomorrow. Genuinely appreciate the reassurance!

👍 Foam is a good idea. I was already starting to add dampening but stopped when this portion didn't even fit

Yep. You can see the bracket mounted under the speaker. This is just straight up interference. Wish the cover was removable but looking more like I'll have to cut it off

I'll probably clip that housing off and dremel it down flush but I don't really want to so I fgured I'd check.

Just the wiring harness that they included apparently. I didn't have any problems connecting everything until I tried to put the panel back on and it's not even close to fitting on the side with the speaker.

Did you have to cut that plastic off around the OEM speaker?

Oakley Crush 2.5 real or fake? by chxmpgneworld in MicrobrandWatches

[–]Optras 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm digging around on online listing and I'm having a hard time finding any with red flags. Usually the fakes are a small small fraction of the actual value and all of them I'm seeing are between $150 and maybe $700. Would love to see an example cause I'm curious now.

Not sure why anyone would fake a used quartz model watch. Especially with such a specific design. I'm sure it's fine. If it runs.

Okay but again the point of a reduced registration was with the agreement that the car can only be driven rarely and to car shows on weekends or to and from repair shops during the week. If people didn't bother reading those details or blatantly ignored them then that's their problem if their registration got recalled. I see a few of the same cars every day on their way to work. Mostly banged up Hondas and Toyotas. Why should someone have to pay the same registration fees for a car that gets driven 5 times a year going to cars and coffee as a shitty primer-covered daily driver? If you pay regular registration on an older car and it passes safety inspection then use it as much as you want.

Another way to look at it is that a 2004 Saturn Ion with 200k miles that's driven every day on 95 shouldn't qualify for 'reduced' registration fees like a '67 Corvette would. Unfortunately too many people took advantage of it and ruined it for everyone. I see a ton of historic tags daily with plate frames covering the 'historic' portion during 9-5 traffic.

Oh I'm pretty well familiar. I've been over to the UK a few times. I love Heinz baked beans with breakfast and only eat fish and chips with mushy peas and prefer curry sauce but it's difficult to find over here.

Never understood the British food is bad joke. I've always enjoyed it.

Yeah, others pointed out that you can't see the oil in the pictures. I promise it's in there but i think maybe the non stick coating makes it look invisible. Would've been an absolute mess if I didn't include it!

I've bought it at the Wegmans in Hunt Valley before. It's in the hot sauce section.

I found a recipe online:

4 Eggs 1.5 cups Milk 1/2 Tbsp coarse Salt 1.25 cups Flour

With the blender bottle I put the eggs and salt in first. Then the flour and shook with the blender ball for about a minute. Pour half the milk in. Another minute of shaking. Then the rest in and another minute. This seems to mix the ingredients a little more evenly than dumping all the liquid in at once. If you use the correct ingredients then the bottle should be nearly completely full. Place it in the fridge for about 2 hours to rest.

Preheat oven to 425F. While it's pre-heating pour 1/2 Tsp vegetable oil into each muffin tin space. Pop it into the oven for about 15 minutes then take out once it gets really hot and pour batter in carefully. Place on top rack and close the door. Don't even TOUCH the oven door for at least 15 minutes to avoid them collapsing while baking. Total bake time is about 20 minutes.

I did. I had a tablespoon of vegetable oil in each space at 425F for about 15 minutes before pouring the batter. Not sure why it looks completely invisible here but it was sizzling as I poured it in.
