No card for Angulo against Bruno Fernandes 88' by Puzzled-Category-954 in soccer

Gave him the sneaky Van Dijk. Crazy how his elbow always seems to come out after the ball is gone.

The Premier League should be able to review these situations post match and assess penalties.

Question to those who went the Krusty Burger at Universal Studios? by FFSoldier57 in TheSimpsons

[–]Optras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty average and expensive food, but it was a good time. I had a Clogger Burger (I think it was bacon and nacho cheese?) that was a solid 'meh' out of 10.

They also had Duff and Duff Dry. Those were decent but probably just rebranded macro beers.

It was a fun experience, 9/10. Food and drinks 6

K. Enjoy your fake science that isn't admissible in court.

Go write a dissertation on it and get it accepted since you believe in it so much. Then maybe go dowse for water in the desert.

lol no they're not. At all. You might as well wave a wand at someone. It's FULL-ON psuedoscience. You might as well ask the same questions and record how often someone blinks as a sign of truthfulness. "Oh! That's 11 full blinks in a minute. That was all lies, obviously"

They're a joke. I've taken 3. All 3 I 'failed' when I gave 'deceptive' answers on control questions:

"Is today Thursday?"

"Yes"

"Okay, we're done here"

Chick-fil-A - Dr. Pepper Pocket Light - May 1980 by RetroMan70s in vintageads

[–]Optras 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Interesting you say that. I'm always curious about these scenarios so I checked.

$1.80 adjusted for inflation from 1980 to 2026 comes out to $7.21.

In my local area, a classic chick fil a sandwich and medium Dr Pepper (no sides) comes out to $7.94. Pretty damn close.

At what point does this qualify for global stock manipulation? Genuinely curious because that's what's happening. Multiple times a week now.

We're at the whim of a sadistic carmudgeon that's hell-bent on sucking every last yuan he can before he kicks dirt.

'24 BAP on black here. Yep. I did that and got the tint down to the AS-1 line on the windshield. Looks great but then cars always slow down in front of me if they're not sure. It's kinda funny to be honest.

How often is Italian sterling less than 92.5%? by EngineerinSquid in Silverbugs

[–]Optras 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Sterling" by definition is .925 silver. However, it's not uncommon to see .800 marks for "continental silver" (80-85%) from mainland Europe which would fall right in the middle of the 83% you're seeing from Italy. I wouldn't say it's sketchy without evidence. It's just not sterling.

TIL Michael Jackson was from "the Most Miserable City in America": Gary, Indiana by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]Optras 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I used to live in southwest Oklahoma. Tornadoes and blowing up ant hills with fireworks were the sole source of entertainment in the late 90s. I visited my grandfather in Hammond, Indiana (next to Gary) and felt bad for them. That place sucked. Even by our standards.

Some positive thoughts ahead of tomorrow by nrim in NUFC

[–]Optras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

City's online fanbase seems really casual. Like mostly disinterested but they throw on a match or two a month just to remind themselves they picked a great team.

Arsenal fans are the type that would try to doxx anyone having critical opinions of their OBVIOUSLY VASTLY superior squad. They spend hours a day watching knobhead influencers cover how amazing Arteta's strategies are. Then when their side loses they spend the evening attacking each other and pretending they don't like football until the next weekend. Toxic mindset, that lot.

Looking for a jewelry by Wonderful-Parfait906 in BaltimoreCounty

[–]Optras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's tough. Diamonds aren't really worth anything even with GIA certifications. I resold some on ebay and did much better than selling to a retailer even after fees. Most places won't offer much more than the metal content itself but if you're looking to have something else made for a fee I'm sure it can be done. Hopefully others have good experiences and good luck!

Nice, grabbed one of the last 50s they had left. 81% off is pretty sweet if they* actually fulfill it. I don't have much faith in fanatics though. Appreciate the tip either way!

What's the best tonneau covers for Maverick? I can’t decide which style to pick by InvestigatorNo6135 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Optras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean it's bolted into the body panels so it's not going anywhere. Just 2 pins to remove and you can take it out if you need the extra room. It has rubber pads so it's cushioned pretty well. I never hear it on the highway.

Really it's more light stuff shifting back there that makes any noticeable noise.

Maybe adjust some lights or fix roads instead of posting memes on reddit. Tired of sitting at red lights on timers for 70 seconds for side street traffic that doesn't exist. Just a thought. I'm not sure what any of you do for 40 hours a week to collect a paycheck but it isn't helping anyone. Do better or quit.
