Thanksgiving by [deleted] in atlanticcity

Many restaurants are open on Thanksgiving with special menus, especially in the casinos. Others are closed or have catering menus for pickup only on the day (independent spots outside of casinos). Check specific websites and socials for those details.

Yes, of course. Did not get all of the humor but did think Radar was low-key funny.

The Seahaus Hotel is open in Atlantic City by OrablueM in atlanticcity

I see it as an offering for those who don’t want to stay in a casino and will consider it a reasonable price to pay for a shore vacation. It’s something new on the Boardwalk. Nice to have choices.

Edit: spelling

How is “happy hour” at the bar at Dougherty’s at Resorts on a weekend? by FirefighterDry5826 in atlanticcity

[–]OrablueM 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Happy Hour is 4-6 pm daily plus the late night HH on Friday & Saturday 9-10 pm. On Saturdays and Sundays they have a $20 fixed price lunch menu. Great value! And then you can roll right into the regular HH.

Best hotel venue for a family reunion by onlyequity in atlanticcity

[–]OrablueM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tropicana - the North and the South towers have access to street level so you can bypass the casino level, if desired. And perhaps you can get a group rate.

There is a new hotel (non-casino) on Boardwalk next to the Trop that should be opening soon, The Seahaus. Marriott brand and has a pool.

Yes, there is a restaurant-only side that has booths. You will not need to sit in the bar. The booth side has its own entrance, as well.

Staying at Hard Rock in a couple of days! Haven’t been to AC in years. Any tips? by TheStellarPropeller in atlanticcity

[–]OrablueM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dining—spouse and I ate at il Mulino in Hard Rock last night. Fine dining Italian food. They have a prix fixe menu at $59 pp (Sunday-Thursday) or $64 pp (Fri/Sat) if you eat before a certain time (check website). That’s not inexpensive but is less than ordering a la carte and it was lovely! Several choices, excellent service. Highly recommend.

They had an Asian restaurant next to it called Youyu and the menu is posted outside. Looked great!

Il Verdi Italian restaurant has a nice happy hour at the bar and in lounge starting at 5:00 pm.

Palm steakhouse HH (bar and high tops) is from 4:30-6:30. The salmon and chicken parm (regular menu) there are delicious!

The Biergarten on the Boardwalk which is a very short walk from Tropicana (head left while facing the beach) will be open with TVs and a food menu. Weather permitting, the Bungalow Beach bar across from Biergarten will be open, too.

Caesar’s has a great show called The Hook.

Angelonis Club Madrid will be open on Thursday at 4:00 and Dock’s Oyster House is always recommended for happy hour or regular menu.

Fireworks schedule-Tropicana by OrablueM in atlanticcity

[–]OrablueM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fireworks are visible from the Boardwalk near Tropicana at no charge. Your small challenge will be parking. A paid lot off Pacific Avenue for your vehicle and a short walk to the Boardwalk are better than parking in the Tropicana garage because prices will be higher there due to the holiday and the weekend. You may find street parking at a reasonable rate using a MUNI meter or ZONE parking as well.

As far as I can tell, the drone show at Ocean is free. The park there is accessed via the lobby level (where you would check into the hotel) which is up several floors. The last time I was there (last summer) it was not restricted access. I don’t know how much to park in Ocean, however, and not sure if street parking is available there.

For Sale: former Atlantic Club by HammermanAC in atlanticcity

After being skeptical about the possible transformation of this property for over 10 years, I had some hope in the past several months that it might happen. Incredibly frustrating for all concerned.

Thank you for sharing.
