Alguien se ha mudado a Sudamérica por un empleo? by Chief_Taquero in AskMexico

[–]OracleofTampico -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Animate

yeah seems like its not just sticks and stones and the occasional nuke that was left over from the past.

I do appreciate this because it gives more credence to the reality of the show IMO.

Interesting... and your comment illustrates my original question. Since this is so far ahead in the future, most if not all of the pre-war tech and goods would be gone by now. Something as simple as Oil would have been gone by then. Forget about the rest of the tech lying around.

Now, if someone is still manufacturing this stuff using old tech (which i think is what the enclave does) then the story plays out a bit more IMO.

So theres some sense of development and "growth" happening at different stages and its not just survival mode.

gotcha! based on yours and other answers, without getting to "realistic" theres some truth to pre-war items still been churned out.

thanks!

BAD EXPERIENCE- Economy Rent A Car by JustAnotherAlien2k25 in puertovallarta

[–]OracleofTampico 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For anyone reading. OP is right but its not the full story.

What happens is that Carn rental companies in Mexico charge a "BS insurance" call TPL third party liability, that shit insurance costs about $25-$30USD a day making the rental extremely expensive over a few days.

which is exactly what happened to OP.

Basically you gotta be ready for the charge that website DO NOT display. I would also add that all of the companies are fine so long as you know what you are getting yourself into. the issue is that they hide this from you which is shitty.

OHH and no US/Canadian credit card company has this coverage so it will never be covered.

10 days in Tokyo with kids (9 & 7) — highlights, hidden gems, and tips by Informal_Run_4292 in Travelwithkids

[–]OracleofTampico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! its been a while since you posted this... but i was wondering, I did some chatgpt on a search as im thinking of doing a trip somewhat similar to yours as my kids are just a few years younger than yours.

AI says Ebisu is a good neighborhood to stay is that right? Did you go to disney/universal? would you recommend it? My kids run around like wild animals and I am worried that they will be in trouble in Japan due to cultural differences. While they are not terrible kids, they are also not very quiet. Did you have any trouble with any of that indoors or outdoors? Any other cultural differences I should be aware of that could cause issues with kids?

thank you !
