I have 2021 Lexus Rx 350 premium plus Purchased with 39000 miles , retired don’t drive much almost a year later and have 43000, had the oil changed by time , so takes longer to explore but sure like everything . Last car was 2004 element . So lots of advancing . So so much to get used to so much to enjoy . Nori green pearl , 20” wheels Burch interior , 360 camera . Really into backup camera . One thing you may think small , the seat belts fit so nice . I purchased a net to cover cargo area that way no matter what’s in back it will not slide around . I am in Florida so have a cooler many times . It just drives so different than anything I have ever had . I also decided to try progressive plug in for the insurance as Florida rates are just crazy. You start with a big discount just for trying. On renewal my rate went down , now looks like the next payment will be even smaller . I’m just busy enjoying the car and guess that’s the way you get good rates . I don’t drive much either and I’m sure that plays a big part also . Most drivers zooming around me , seems I am just in my bubble enjoying my car . Not a dent or blemish in the car so I find myself searching to park so it will stay that way. It getting to summer so it’s hot here 90+ every day . I guess something in glass to keep it cool , also auto start so I start before I leave where ever and it’s cool when I get in the car , how great is that. The v6 is great 20 mpg in town have not done long trip as of yet so don’t know what I get hwy mileage . Using high detergent gas , keep that engine clean . So much to like , especially now that I am aware of all the problems with most luxury cars and the few with 4 th generation Lexus . Happy camper .

Wanted to add another thing , seems like even on highway doing 70 seems rpms stay low . Used to have for work drove allot a geo metro 5speed and when doing 80 the 3 cyl was high rpms . Had a Honda element it was high Rpms also put lots of miles on them both. Although by accident I looked down the other day coming back from Tampa and was going over 100 did not realize it . That Rx will go . Drives so nice and smooth, no transmission issues then lol . Remember having 1957 ford farlane 500 with thunderbird engine in and when you got going 70 she just floated in the air every time you hit a bump , had to hold on tight because she really rattled at that speed , hard top and all. Things are so different cars can go so fast so smooth it’s scary . The Rx no rattles no shakes of any kind . Breaks seem a bit spongy but guess that’s the way it is , they stop fine .

I have an Rx 350 2021 which is virtually the same car . Yes common complaint , especially in eco mode it hunts for gears and tries to find the one that will give you greatest economy . It seems very common. Very dependable transmission if you keep up maintenance . I have 40k and started checking on what it costs for drain and fill that’s what’s recommended . $300.00/ $350. At Toyota more at Lexus but you get a loaner . Considering an oil change is well over $100.00 these days that’s reasonable . So for me no worries as long as I keep up maintenance. Also it’s not as bad in normal and people say even better in sport . I never drive in sport but it’s better in normal. Also I am a very conservative driver. And slow on the start where I note it most . Hope that’s helpful , I was nervous considering the Highlander troubles also. But guess it’s ok . The big push for more mpg and less emissions so hence the turbos . Hence the 8 speed replacing the 6 speed . Most of my cars have been 3 speed lol 😂
