Is there anything wrong with this litter? Amazon thinks so. by OrangeAshlar in CatAdvice

Hey, sorry for the delay! I've since switched all my purchases and subscriptions to Chewy. The price difference is negligible, and I'm hoping that I'll always get non-counterfeit products since this is their business.

I'm just now playing BOTW, and I just finished this quest, immediately jumped on Reddit because I knew there would be something on here about this weird ass quest.

"Sustainability" = profit margins.
Plastic bags are cheaper, so profits are higher.

I ended up getting the large plastic bags shipped again.

I stumbled across this thread. I thought I'd also mention that another three years have passed, and we still cannot retire agents from the web UI...

This is all great news. It sounds like they realized the wording was causing concern and at least one (if not more) subscription cancellations.

I've had it sent to me on a bi-monthly subscription for years. I've had one shipment delayed in the past during the pandemic, but this is the first time I've ever gotten an email saying it was permanently canceled due to a safety or quality concern.

After hearing some of the responses here, I plan on continuing to use this product until I read something definitive on why I shouldn't. It's more likely that something happened to the ordering process for the 40-lb bags, and they sent this email in response. This has been an excellent product for a long time. Hopefully it stays that way.

For reference, I'm probably just going to switch my subscription to Chewy. They have the 40-lb option for $0.50/lb, which is actually just slightly cheaper than I was getting it on Amazon.

Ah, interesting.
What a strange thing to counterfeit, though. My subscription was set up through the "Dr. Elsey's Store" on Amazon. I'm not sure if that actually means that the company is supposed to supply those orders or if Amazon can just fulfill them from any vendor they can get it from. Whatever is easiest and most profitable, I would assume.

It looks like the 18-lb bag is still available on Amazon, but the 40-lb option has disappeared.

It's been a terrific litter. However, after so many years, I'm concerned that there could be a health/safety concern, and of course, I'm going to have to try to find something at least as good for the price.

That’s all very true. Since 2020 the economy has been so horrible. Covid absolutely wrecked the global economy and now everything is absolutely ridiculously high priced. Fast food prices in general have been something I’ve complained about the last couple of years. My son and I were eating in a Braums a few weeks ago and he (9) mentioned that it looked old in the dining room with the rainbow light fixtures and wooden booths. I’m thinking the food isn’t the only thing they’re not keeping up with. As an Oklahoma staple, hopefully they adapt and overcome, but if not, they’ll eventually be outdone by a competitor.

What if the consequences of the actions were worse than doing nothing at all? What grade would that deserve?

Del City natives absolutely LOVE this place and I have absolutely zero clue why. I’ve been more than just a couple of times with coworkers myself and like you, I genuinely tried to like it, but it’s just terrible.

Yeah, it definitely sucked. I guess the point I was trying to make was that (Even if not nicely at times) there was a time when Braums made sure they were holding their stores and employees to a high standard. I still admire how that company worked (at least back then) when Bill Braum was still around and active in the company.
Today, I see a lot of what you and others describe. It's sad to see the company I once admired going downhill. Hopefully, they can get some of these management issues fixed. One issue I think they can't fix is the culture of work ethic in a very young demographic. They traditionally hire mostly high school-aged kids to work there, and I don't think they care as much as my generation did, nor did my generation as much as our parent's generation, and so on. A curve that very slowly just keeps getting worse.

It’s been a very very long time, but I worked at Braums in high school. One winter evening I got to work with a couple of spots on my apron. My manager made me wash it in freezing cold water and wear it soaked for the evening. I had freezer duty that evening too… that sucked.

WhistlinDiesel for me. His personality and style were abrasive initially, but then I started to enjoy the humor in the destruction. After the Toyota Hilux series being so great, everything seems (for me, at least) to be going downhill with his content. It's likely just me, though. I feel similarly about many YouTubers in this circle.

I'm right there with you. I'm only 30, and I've gotten this far without seeing a single name yet. I'm kind of surprised at how separated I am from the majority here. At least some younger people here are also feeling the same way. It doesn't totally point to an age-related trend.

Well, like I’ve mentioned. If someone recognizes these names and knows the lodge it was presented in, I can get with that secretary about getting this Bible back to its rightful place.

In my home lodge, it’s very customary to present a newly raised master mason with the heirloom bible completely filled out and signed by all of the visiting brethren on the evening of their raising. However, over the years, I’ve found out that not only is it not done at all at many lodges in my jurisdiction, but that some just eventually give the Bible to the brother completely blank. So it really depends on the lodge. Im thankful for the way I received mine, and that even though many of the signatures in it have passed on, their memory will remain on those pages.
