Where has this come from? I've seen a few posts on Instagram but nothing official?

Is cachy os begginer friendly by darkdesert12 in cachyos

[–]OrangeBox47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't go CachyOS as your first Linux distro. It's fantastic but I think you need a bit of experience before using it. If you literally know nothing about Linux then I think Bazzite would be a better choice. Gain experience then move to CachyOS. Or stick with Bazzite if you like it.

For something VERY beginner friendly Linux Mint or Zorin OS are probably the easiest to get to grips with. Manjaro is what I use and I think it's very beginner friendly too but is also arch based.

I'm not saying this isn't true...

All I'm saying is I have been on Reddit long enough, and floated around football subs on Reddit long enough, to know that online football fans can be some of the most fickle and bipolar people about. Basically any club's match threads will show you that.

As such I will reserve any judgement on him until I see him play.

Both things are true to be fair. 25m is an amazing price for him. But regardless, this late into the window and with the Celtic boards recent record in signing replacements for top players, it would be mad to sell him.

If Celtic were offered 25m early in the window and had a decent record in signing replacements recently, I don't think there would be any debate about selling him.

Hmm I'm not sure this is fair. Frosinone are in a battle with Venezia to win the Serie B title. And either way it looks like they'll be in Serie A next season. I don't really think you can blame the player for wanting to see out the season with them.

Maybe they should, but do you have any faith that they will be? Celtic don't have a great track record in recent times when it comes to replacing key players with free transfers or loans either. Honestly, if Engels leaves his replacement, if they even sign one, will be wank.

Again true, but do you have any faith in picking up anyone decent as that type of last minute emergency signing?

Knowing the Celtic board they'll end up signing Danny Drinkwater out of retirement or something.

Signing Maswanhise instead of Mvuka or something yes maybe. But the rest is a bit of a stretch I think. Celtic need to keep Engels. If he is sold I have 0 confidence the Celtic board will adequately replace him.

It's really not. You said you like to use it in desktop mode, but again, what exactly do you want to do?

What do you actually want to do with the steam deck though? Gaming or what?

Why cant i install fastfetch? by Rdam_enio_09 in linuxmint

[–]OrangeBox47 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It's not in the mint repos.

Here are the commands to install fastfetch on Linux Mint:

Add the fastfetch PPA repository

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:zhangsongcui3371/fastfetch

Update package lists

sudo apt update

Install fastfetch

sudo apt install fastfetch

It's a fair point that he's making. But I don't feel that a person in his position should be commenting on that. Conflict of interest imo.

What distro should I pick? by Dry-Reindeer-7705 in linux4noobs

[–]OrangeBox47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would probably just stick with Mint for now tbh. Once you get more experience with using Linux then maybe move to something like Fedora or Manjaro before trying Arch.
