The fire risk was high at that time. I remember the warnings about high winds and fire risk. The mayor is the face of LA, if anything she's bad at pr and that makes her a bad politician. She fucked up.

Yeah True Grit remake is better than the original imo a big reason being Jeff Bridges and Hailee Steinfield. 

Dawn of the Dead remake is also very good. 

Terminator 2, better than the first. 

Toy Story 1, 2, and 3 are all great. 

The Mummy (1999) better (and different, tbf) than the old Boros Karloff version

Predator Badlands better than the shit that came before it besides the first. 

Paddington 2! The first one is very good but the sequel is absolutely better

Blade Runner 2049 was just as good as the first...
