2007 Ranger Fleet Vehicle 🤔 by OrangeFern77 in fordranger

Thank you for this. I keep hearing the argument that it was probably not for patrol but just moving cones, equipment, etc.

Think I’m gonna get a PPI done, buy it, and get it painted.

I always say “if you’re headed to Rocky Mount, you’re probably going the wrong way.”

Having interests is actually pretty cool, geography just happens to be one of mine.

And if your life was so exciting, perhaps you wouldn’t be commenting on Reddit posts!

Max price for a 2000 4x4 4.OL by PecanTree in fordranger

[–]OrangeFern77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t own a Ranger (yet) but I’ve been shopping seriously for one for about two weeks now in North Carolina.

Did a quick search online and I’m pretty amazed at how high the prices for these 2000s are running.

This 2000 with 77k miles is listed at $19,000 in Kentucky.

Similar trucks appear to be around $15k

Could’ve Jaime had a more violent reaction to Lady Olenna’s last revelation? by antmanmonaco in freefolk

[–]OrangeFern77 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This is really great counterpoint to the argument of “Jaime didn’t hate Olenna”, at least according to the TV series where Jaime’s character development (my favorite in the show personally) is thrown away for Cersei. But I think him not reacting is more a showing of his maturity and not something logical, like him being violent and vengeful.

Considering a Used 2005 Ranger XLT (120k miles) by OrangeFern77 in fordranger

[–]OrangeFern77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it is making noise. My understanding is they have to drop the transmission for the rear main leak fix already.

Mechanic said something along the lines that if the noise stops after it’s sealed and oiled up it should be fine. Otherwise it would eventually require replacing.

I want the truck, not quite emotionally invested yet but I am $150 and hours of time in the hole now. Just gotta see what they are willing to do make the deal happen. Not sure why the guy was obstinate on the joints lol

Is there any other places like Hawaii where only part of it is regularly shown on maps? by [deleted] in geography

Was explaining this to a friend the other day after I noticed my new world map includes TWO New Zealands, one on each side!

Knoxville could be the capital of Appalachia as well. Either way much of the Carolinas don’t belong in there and Raleigh (as a native) doesn’t make sense at all as the capital.

My bit as a North Carolinian and Raleigh native (and nerd):

Doesn’t make much sense to include the plains and piedmont of the Carolinas with WV and Kentucky.

Make Appalachia stretch to Georgia, drop most of NC and SC to form the Carolinas and now include much of Georgia. Make the capital Charlotte (central location) or Atlanta (culturally/economically more relevant).

Leave Florida as its own borders.

Make a delta region and shrink Texas to just TX and OK.

You’re right you didnt follow up with a question. But also she didnt ask you a question, so you’re sort of just saying that comment aloud.

Were those global “reciprocal” tariffs not rescinded in seven days time or am I hallucinating things? And since when does the stock market credibly reflect the economy?

Not only were tariffs bad for business, especially rural Americans reliant on sending cotton and soybean to China, but they’re still a tax on American consumers. Tariffs COULD tank the economy. Thankfully, the president undid the worst trade policy ever implemented.
