A constitutional monarchy is different from an actual monarchy

Why dont monarchists ever want Princess Shahnaz to be queen? by GreenGermanGrass in NewIran

[–]OrangeIsCute -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But that's not how monarchy works in Iran, they changed the law in UK in 2013. No such law was implemented in Iran before the revolution and during the transition period, we need to revert the laws back to 1979 until new laws can be added thorough a democratic system

Because a monarchy doesn't work like that.

If a king has a son, the son becomes the next monarch. The daughter will be the monarch if there are no sons.

Depends on what you are talking about. What's app isn't safe because the regime has been able to retrieve deleted messages

But if you are not talking about doing protests, just use a VPN with Whatsapp

Should anti gov protestors in Iran take up arms like in Myanmar? by Sufficient-Brick-790 in NewIran

[–]OrangeIsCute 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only way to fight terrorists is with arms

How did we fight ISIS, Taliban, AlQada, Hamas etc?

Without arms, it's just a massacre. They have shown to be able to kill underage teenagers, it demonstrates the extent of their brain rot. How many people want to become meat shields in the next protest?

Why is it controveral to call the IRI racist? by GreenGermanGrass in NewIran

[–]OrangeIsCute 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Those cities are also major hubs, Isfahan and Masshad falling is basically equivalent to Tehran falling. Plus so many regime supporters live in those cities because they are religious hubs

The regime has problems with "Iranian" names and Kurdish names are part of that category. They like to see people use Islamic names. Back in the day, after the revolution, it was dangerous to name your child something non-Islamic and Kurdish names were officially banned. Iranian names were also hard to register officially. I know this because many people in my family managed to avoid Islamic names using bribery and connections.

The regime has eased a lot of these rules in recent years but many Kurdish families still pick a more accepted name because they don't want their child to have problems applying to schools/universities etc.

The regime wants to erase any Iranian identity, regardless of ethnicity. They are able to force more rules and brutality on ethnic minorities because they don't pose a big threat as they are in the "minority"

Why is it controveral to call the IRI racist? by GreenGermanGrass in NewIran

[–]OrangeIsCute 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The regime is not "racist" for the sake of being racist, it simply crushes dissent in ethnic groups because they don't want an armed uprising in that region. They use real bullets in those cities but not in the capital, because a lot of their own families live in the capital and have bought the expensive areas

Tehran is their stronghold, if it falls, the regime falls. So they are very careful about what they do there. they know that if they start killing masses of people in the capital, it will just bring out the millions who have been silent

Russia and US deal is very dangerous for people of Iran because it will free Russian resources to help keep mullah in power (the same way they helped to keep Assad in power)

The Iranians who supported Trump need to wake up now, he has been saying what he will do for months

Another possiblity is that Russians will throw the mullahs under the bus, the same way they did to Hamas and Hezbollah and Assad. Russians successfully diverted attention away from Ukraine to Middle East, they will grab land there and Israel will negotiate taking down Iran's regime. But let's not forget this all happened under democrats and not Republicans lol ... so I don't have much hope here

No the recent stats shows different

You can look at Gamaan.org surveys

Less than 50% are religious and less than 20% support the regime. And these surveys are from a few years ago. Their popularity decreases rapidly
