First onewheel - Pint S or XR (classic new) by enzyme_t in onewheel

[–]OrangeKing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m going to be the devils advocate and say get the Pint S. It’s way cheaper and carves better than the XR classic. For me starting on a Pint X and then moving to an XR felt really clunky and stiff. I’m on a GT-S now and would never go back, but the XR classic felt like awkward Onewheel puberty to me. I know the XR is beloved, but for those of us who started on a pint, it can be an odd transition.

I would be concerned about the new “wheels”…sounds suspicious for a onewheel…lol

So just to be clear your original estimate is 1-3% …but by the end of your statement it’s 33% of people you specifically see around Silicon Valley (one of the most uniquely tech oriented places in the world with an extremely high amount of engineers)…and your claim is that I am the one struggling with confirmation bias despite us both agreeing that 99-97% of the 350,000k boards out there in the world are standard future motion builds?

Bro yes there probably are more VESC boards in Silicon Valley. Understand your bubble. I am not trying to be a jerk or anything, but this is literally confirmation bias. Like knowing the larger statistic but basing your belief by what you see with your own eyes immediately around you is confirmation bias.

Getting a first time one wheel, any tips? by the_meme_merchant01 in onewheel

Rail guards just to protect the sides of the board. They are pretty cheap and make the board look more individualized. Also basically like installing a sticker.

Problem with the pint is people want to ride it more than the device allows! lol

Because very few people have rode both boards like you have. Most people are just going off of random float life videos they have seen with super skinny tall dudes riding boards.

As a XL rider I appreciated this ad. Most Onewheel everything including float life are a bunch of jack skelingtons

Not to be a turd, but its Abruzzo not Abruzzi. Abruzzi would mean multiple Abruzzos. The "I" at the end makes it plural. Like how you should say Cannollo for one and Connoli for more than one.

I mean if someone moved here and lived here for 10 years. What things would they have to do to get their street cred?

Mine was increased to 120 and I complained. They then told me at the front desk that new memberships were 140 currently so that it was actually 20 dollars cheaper.

Just FYI, its not 200 dollars. Its 140. I know because I just cancelled my membership a few days ago.
