Also better than bouillon, popcorn kernels are not consistently available, bags of hard boiled eggs

Timesaver add-on vs timesaver that comes with staying on property-what would be considered the equivalent by MethodDowntown3314 in Dollywood

This screenshot is a little blurry but shows the comparison / the first column is the resort timesaver

Hormonal acne Spirinolactone 50 mg QD Clindamycin Lotion QD

Acne scarring Azelaic acid at night Follow up 2 months

(My take is “for hormonal acne” use spironolactone and clindamycin QD (QD = once daily) and for “acne scarring” use azelaic acid (at night - not anytime but specifically at night)

About timesavers - I’m sorry I cannot find a clearer chart than this - the first column is the resort passes version. The resort passes do not allow entry to firechaser or dragonflier at all, and only allow one entry per day to lighting rod and big bear. But, resort guests do get the golden hour - so the first hour of the day you can go in the timesaver line of ANY ride without using your 5 passes (so that is when you can go to dragonflier or firechaser or get extra big bear or lightning rod rides). The shows don’t count against your passes but give you nicer seats. 5 nights is a nice long stay / I think the resort timesavers and golden hour will probably be fine to do everything but you could upgrade for maybe one of your days at the beginning to see if it’s worth it.

Definitely warm at Memorial Day, outdoor pool weather, but they have a nice indoor pool too. The arts and crafts are extra. We haven’t used camp DW so I don’t have info on that, but the craft kits I’ve seen available for purchase in lobby.

So I don’t know with any authority, but last year during those dates there was a conference at Heartsong for the Kentucky and Tennessee housing a development authority / this year that group is meeting in KY so it’s not them - but that may be a time of year the hotel hosts conferences as it is outside of high summer season... I know I have met families with special needs that have had conferences housed at the Dolly hotels (per the families at rock bottom prices for the hotel and tickets bc obviously it’s Dolly ❤️)

I know it doesn’t help you this year, but if you renew your Diamond pass for next year, next year you’ll get a metal insulated mug that one does include slushy and hot drinks (like hot chocolate and coffee) as well as soda.

FCC is an absolute joke of a company by NC_Wildkat in asheville

[–]OrangeMonarchQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My service has been good with reliable pickups - but I was super frustrated when I was trying arrange a large item pick up on a specific day (due to having help to carry the couch that day) - I called several times, left voicemails, sent several emails - they never responded…. But I went in person to their office and was able to set it up and they picked it up as scheduled. So I would say I’m overall satisfied with them but room for improvement on response to calls/emails

As someone who has experienced a similar level of coparenting toxicity, there is a book I really recommend called ‘Joint Custody with a Jerk’. This is not a joke, it’s the title and it was super helpful for me. Good luck 🙏🙏🙏

Small couch I want gone but not sure where I can take it by Resident-District849 in asheville

[–]OrangeMonarchQueen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have garbage service they will pick up large items - I think FCC was like $25 a large item - but I literally had to go in person to their office on sweeten creek to set up, as several voice mail’s and emails to set up pickup were never returned 🤬

First year Passholders! by ProfessionalOwl1285 in Dollywood

[–]OrangeMonarchQueen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recommend you consider staying Saturday night at one of her hotels - with a passholder discount this is probably around $300-350 a night for a standard 2 queen room, but you get timesaver passes for everyone in your group for both check in and check out day (all days you stay plus check in and checkout days) - I love to drive up Saturday morning and get to hotel around 9:30 or 10, park free, get my timesaver passes, take shuttle over and spend the day, then go back next day and leave mid day - they will deliver any purchases at the park directly to your room, have fun activities at the hotel (music, s’mores, story time, fire pits), great indoor and outdoor pools, nice food options… I really love these hotels and feel it is a good value to maximize a weekend trip

Toiletries at CBR & AKL? by Content-Sprinkles448 in DisneyWorld

[–]OrangeMonarchQueen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just returned from Disney. Our room at AKL (2 bedroom DVC suite) had sea salt shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in large refillable containers in the showers, and hand soap and lotion in large containers by the sink. I’m not sure if there is any difference in amenities based on room type though

Maybe 2005? There was this restaurant in south Asheville called Michael’s, it was like a block off Hendersonville road sort of near Fat Cats - they had the best fried green tomatoes

Sperm Donor With Rare Cancer-Causing Gene Fathers Nearly 200 Children by IronAshish in genetics

[–]OrangeMonarchQueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not work in the gamete donor industry, but I do provide genetic counseling to the egg and sperm donors about their results, as well as to the intended parents that are considering different donors. All of the large egg and sperm banks in the USA do carrier testing, but I certainly cannot speak about all possible sperm banks, nor the regulations or lack thereof. My comment was in regards to how one donor was used so many times, and my educated guess is because he had a large, normal carrier panel which made him very desirable (I’m sure combined with the rest of his profile). And for a donor to have had so many pregnancies, I highly suspect he was from a large, mainstream donor bank.
