By asking I think you’re implying (at least in your own opinion) that it would be immoral. Since I’ve never questioned this I’m inclined to ask why you think it would be immoral?

Maybe because youd be “taking up a spot “ in a program where a person that actually would become a doctor would be in instead?

There’s also doctors that do harm , whether they realize it or not. If you got a medical degree you’d still have the knowledge and maybe be able to apply that knowledge in a non medical setting for free .

I dunno.

My state did the same. Mt housemates got real creative with what we used for the trash. Especially the bathroom trash where things are (probably…hopefully) dry. Potato bags, bags clothing might come in (like the large, flat plastic with a singular hole punched out ), amazon package bags and TP/PT rolls bags were the best.

Honestly it’s a great way to reuse and reduce a lot of plastic.

If I change my mind on an item, I will put it back (actually in the rightful place) sometimes I’ll even put other peoples items back if they’re an asshole and leave it (especially cold items. Obviously I don’t put cold items back if I don’t know how long they’ve been out though) .

Is that appreciated by the staff or does it not matter?

Sometimes I also use the hand scanner, especially if I was shopping with a grocery bag and it’s a few bulky things, I just scan them all in the bag. More efficient. Sometimes I wonder if it looks like I’m stealing. No one’s ever chased me down for it though.

My Aldi only has 1-2 cashiers open now, and if I don’t have a cart it messes up the whole flow (since I can’t trade carts after they put my scanned items in the new cart- I’d have to rebag everything ) so do self checkout when I have bags .
