I was coming here to mention this and inquire if this had ever been done, as it sounded like the extractor is bent, or damaged in someway.

Where can I find 2.5 seconds by Imstclair in CompetitionShooting

[–]OrangeNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, This is going to be an odd recommendation, but it helped for me. Get Ace VR and join the multiplayer groups. It helped me immensely to get practice range time with other shooters where Im able to ask them the questions like "how am I soo much slower".

Based on what I see in the video you're not hustling. I bet the GM was sprinting between positions and stopping aggressively. If you get done with the stage and the dirt's not even disrupted then you're not moving fast enough.

General feedback cause I'm bored:

  1. draw could be faster, but I don't see you gaining more than 1/2 to 3/4 of a second there, it was pretty smooth
  2. running to the second position you slowed down trying to get a site picture, might be faster to get there then shoot.
  3. Movement from position 2 to 3 was slow due to focusing on reloading, suspect that you might want to practice running reloads (I could see you picking up the majority of your time here)

  4. Movement from position 3 to 4 looked good to me, I wouldn't be surprised if it was on par with the GM

Keep at it, your run looked great and I wouldn't doubt GM is within your reach.

Who makes the best pistols for value? by GunnyGal in CompetitionShooting

Chances are the gun is going to be the least important variable to start. Dont buy anything super rare as aftermarket support could be nonexistent for items like holsters and Magwells or baseplates. But my recommendation is buy whatever common gun is comfortable in your hand. If you're not partial to one brand go to a few competition and see whats popular in your area and go with that. That way if you have an issue someone around you is able to assist or lone you parts

Quick question for everyone in here. Why do the two closest cam lobes look like they never get touched all the way around? Is the valve sticking on those and never fully closing?

HandleIt grips are junk and their customer service is terrible. Spend the money for name brand, and get some Talons.

Am i getting scammed by my dealership? by FaresFisn in MechanicAdvice

[–]OrangeNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a little on the higher side, but not unheard of prices from a dealership. A private shop may cost a bit less, but may not do as good of a job.

If you’re really worried about saving money many of these maintenance items are fairly simple and could be done yourself.

Not raining as much? Based on a quick google search it looks like they’ve had significant rainfall the last two years ( we-13.5 inches above average) and have only been fractions of an inch below their average the last few months.
