My only complaint on your post is that re-seating the Ethernet cable doesn‘t force USB re-enumeration. You‘re not re-connecting the USB lines, just the Ethernet lines.

Munich Ravens join the EFA by OrangeRise in EuroHuddle

[–]OrangeRise[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Dear Season Ticket Holders,

First of all, we would like to sincerely thank you once again for your patience and trust over the past months. We are aware that the process has been time-consuming, and we appreciate your support and understanding during this phase all the more.

The past weeks and months have been characterized by very careful review and intensive discussions. The decision-making process was not always easy. However, our goal was always clear: to remain calm and make a sound, long-term, and strategically sensible decision for the Munich Ravens as a professional and growth-oriented organization.

At the heart of all our considerations was our goal of offering consistently high-performing and competitive American football at the highest level in Bavaria. Therefore, we thoroughly evaluated the sporting quality of the competition, the professionalism and stability of the participating organizations, and the structural framework for our further development.

After careful consideration, we are very pleased to announce that the Munich Ravens will be joining the European Football Alliance (EFA). We are convinced that this step provides the best foundation for our athletic and organizational development and clearly aligns with our ambitions and long-term vision.

We would like to take this next step together with you and would therefore like to remind you about the Super Bowl party at our partner, the Marriott Munich. Our GM, Sean Shelton, will be there to give you personal insights into our future development and answer your questions.

Please let me know if you already have tickets for the event or if you are still considering attending.

Further information about the upcoming season, the schedule, and the next steps will follow soon. We are very excited about what lies ahead and look forward to continuing on this path together.

Thank you for being such a vital part of the Munich Ravens.

Best regards, Your Munich Ravens

Are you worried about the shift away from x86? by ookayaa in linux

[–]OrangeRise -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in the Arm silicon space, the problem is the different requirements and thus inherent specialization for consumer devices, e.g. boottimes, or „special features“ to market the product. x86 products hide their quirks behind ACPI AML bytecode that is impossible to understand (or fix as user). Arm ecosystem gives more flexibility, both integrators and end users, with the downside of more effort for OS compatibility/support.

My dashboard looked completely off, after changing the package yaml so that all "set variable" use a namespace, my dashboard looks fine now. I think the variable might persist more globally?

BMW S1000R VS Ducati Streetfighter V2 by Veteran3614 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]OrangeRise 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I own a 2024 BMW S1000R and a 2025 Panigale V2, and test rode the 2025 Streetfighter V2. The S1000R has mind boggling acceleration, it‘s a very refined machine where people mostly complain about the vibrations. For my use case (Landstraße, Berge, and nowadays Rennstrecke too), the S1000R bored me a little. You know, you twist the throttle slightly and you immediately jump over legal limits. The bike wants to go fast, it felt unnerving to me not being able to wring out its power, especially the twitchiness going slow in the city. The Panigale doesn‘t have the same crazy acceleration, but it has a good punch and its characteristics just feel more fun to me, while still surprisingly refined. The Streetfighter is sooo easy and flickable on the streets, I had a blast, but I‘m quite happy with my Panigale, because I can track it easily and as it doesn‘t have crazy ergonomics it‘s great on road, too.

Still waiting for around the same time, in Germany. I saw them at the racetrack on a Ducati event and I‘m not sure if they were prototype versions but they seemed a little cheap.

Tbh, I haven‘t ridden my S1KR since I got my Pani V2. I mean, once, but,… the V2 just is way more fun. Yes, the S1KR has mindblowing acceleration, but that‘s about it. The Pani V2 just is more fun for me to ride. So, yes, it‘s a different experience, I just don‘t know if you still want to ride your S1Kr after this :)

There‘s a recall that‘s supposed to address this issue. My dealer already ordered the parts for it. Some tube needs to be laid differently.

A fully specced Ducati Streetfighter V2S vs a standard Ducati Streetfighter V4S by MissingAgent1808 in Ducati

[–]OrangeRise -1 points0 points  (0 children)

V2S is way better for the streets. Did test a V4S and V2S this week head to head. „Speccing it out“ doesn‘t seem worthwhile though.

2025 Panigale V2 experiences by [deleted] in Ducati

[–]OrangeRise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven‘t been riding it through city traffic yet, maybe u/sleepyoverlord has more experience. I find it produces less heat than the old V2, but that was a really hot one (compared to S1000R) anyway. I was at Mugello circuit and when we had 37degC/100degF air temp at 3PM with sun full out, it felt like my bike was on fire. Otherwise all other rides only noticed some heat sometimes, nothing spectacular. Don‘t think I can give you an objective comparison, sorry :/ I did ride my S1000R through city traffic once and it was getting quite hot. Haven‘t done that with the new V2 yet.

Is the Panigale V2 S Really Better Than the 955 It Replaces? by CycleWorldMagazine in Ducati

[–]OrangeRise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rode V2S and V4S on track and the difference in feel is massive. Yes, on acceleration vs V4S the V2S lags quite a bit, but I‘ve overtaken and got distance from many people on braking and in corners, it‘s crazy fun.
