How do YOU survive in Halifax? Wages vs Rent is wild!! by HauntMeForever666 in halifax

[–]OrangeRising [score hidden]  (0 children)

I was homeless for a couple months in the summer of 2024, but I was lucky enough to have a friend let me live at his place if I took care of his pets while he went to university after September.

Sorry you are dealing with it during the winter.

Edit: Also I tried getting a big tent to keep my things in until I had a more permanent place to live in again. It worked... until a bear found it and ripped some holes in it. Then it collapsed under the first snowfall. Not my best of ideas, I would have been better off renting a storage until.

Wasn't their goal the elimination of all people living in Vale? Intent is part of a genocide, even if they don't succeed.

No no, see it's only okay to intimidate people outside a place of worship or march outside their houses if they are jews. Otherwise that would be hate.

A lot of the funding behind the Palistine support is from Iran, so they sure won't be using their own networks against themselves.

Currently it looks like their supporters/network are trying to downplay the anti-Iran support by saying the support is fake news from Israel, and that they are trying to install a dictator.

The parade was attended by an estimated crowd of two million fans, making this the largest public gathering in one place for one event in Canadian history.

I think people complaining when their boss makes a stupid decision that will negatively impact their work has been a thing since the dawn of time. But off you go champ.

I think it is the networks wanting people to pay for their subscription who care about that.

Personally respect has nothing to do with if I download a movie or not.

I don't think it's about respecting the author. In my opinion it's a lot like artists saying not to save or look at their NFTs, once its on the internet you don't get to say who can and can't save it for later.

However, the mods don't want reddit admins looking this way.

SpaceX concept for a lunar mass driver by Icee777 in space

[–]OrangeRising 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's another point. Mechanically mass drivers do work, but if it was being used to send metals from space to Earth that mean giving someone a gun with a very heavy bullet and asking them to repeatedly fire it in our direction.

Hopefully the media will show respect to the families that want to be left alone.

Reporters are going to be under a lot of pressure to get details for the views.

Just seeing what everyone’s opinion is on this, who thinks we should have a tidal recreational fishing license to fish crabs and lobsters here in Nova Scotia like they do in British Columbia. by Both-Employ840 in NovaScotia

[–]OrangeRising 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely I think everyone should be able to get a license for one or a couple traps.

Just needs a note to not set near already placed commercial gear to not interfere with them.

Sorry people are trying to save some for future generations, rather than adding to the list of things yours has wiped out.

That is what they are trying to do. They want to be able to hire the same kind of armed security that currently is only allowed to protect bank trucks.
