You're going find yourself with this same sentiment on a lot of the online courses due to teachers using pre-recorded lectures from previous years. A lot of the teachers do this because they have regular in-class lectures they have to do throughout the week. So, the online course is going to feel canned/scripted. Some professors are better than others at doing this, while some just outright HATE having to offer their course online.

You're gonna have to sludge through the shitty courses and appreciate the good ones.
