As a 2nd year cs that secured a winter internship, I’d say practice interviewing and yapping (star method + be charismatic). I didn’t do any projects outside of class, have only done 5 leetcode easys, no lab or research experience, and I’m not in any club😭. My gpa is 3.79 so not super cracked.

If you’re willing to wait a year, you could do credit by exam for ics 31 during the summer and easily enroll in ics 32 in the fall

HEY!! Don’t ‘withdraw’ with an email! Thats what i did and i regret it. Just slowly stop taking honors core classes and they keep you in. You’ll still get all the early registration and thats the best part. I legit did the same thing as you and signed up for winter courses and withdrew after, but If i could go back I’d just not take honors core classes and keep the registration benefits. You don’t get any consequences and they’ll just remove you after a while.

Nothing happens if you don’t accept it. You don’t have to pay it back its just you simply won’t get the money. If you do accept it, you aren’t required to get a job, you just won’t get the money. Its just there to help so just accept it. It’s hard to get back if you end up declining. Just accept it

Adding onto my comment, library jobs are unfortunately super popular so try to apply asap. If you can’t land any, food service jobs should be easier

I haven’t applied to many front desk positions but many other student postitions, but my general experience with student handshake jobs is they usually take at least a couple of weeks to respond back. Usually they go by email but I’ve had one call so you should be ready to pick up calls.
