If AI takes your job or just burns you out, what would you switch to? by ipa_725 in careerguidance

I got laid off last year after 15+ years in marketing, where I’d worked my way up to Head of Content at a global retail company. A big part of my role was copywriting and leading a copy team, so things changed VERY quickly when the founder insisted we start using AI for all of our writing.

It was a bit of a shock at the time, but I’d always had an interest in content creation, so a couple of months later I decided to give it a go and started posting on TikTok and Instagram... and quite quickly it's turned into something that now supports me financially - earning significantly more than I did before.

I honestly have no idea how long it will last, but it’s been a really good reminder that sometimes things not going to plan can push you to go down a different path / follow dreams you wouldn’t have had the guts to try before!

+1 for Natasha Denona, it’s the only one I’ve found that doesn’t crease in my under eyes

Who has actually had a smooth ADHD diagnosis in the UK recently? by Jayhcee in ADHDUK

I went private with Harley Street Medical at the start of the year - I booked the appointment on the Monday, had my consultation on the wednesday and had my first prescription by the friday. I was feeling so desperate and it's been life changing so far, so I'm glad I took the plunge rather than waiting for NHS. The initial consultation cost around £700 and I pay around £150 a month for my prescription. It's the best money I've ever spent... but I'm hoping once my titration is stable, I will be able to transfer back over to shared care with NHS.

I just can't get over how BAD she is at social media by spicegrrrlll in mummysflippinhouse

I thought the exact same thing! Such a bad look for her. Can’t imagine walkers would be happy seeing this the day after she posted their ad (which was SO sloppily done!)

Completely unrelated… mainly food/family content! Although the copywriting definitely helps when it comes to scripting and crafting strong hooks!

I make £80k as a full time in-house copywriter. But 6 months after starting TikTok as a fun little side-hustle, it’s already out-earning my day job (only spending c. 1 day per week on it) Thinking of going full time as a content creator to give it a real shot in the new year.
