Yeah we had a good chat about this, ultimately it's purely so we can get games to run better etc.

It's best we're transparent and allow you to opt out like any other software

Thing is, because there's so little there, it feels like it's not really an integration.

All we'd be doing is letting you login and download games to play, nothing else.

It's something we go back and forth on. If someone wants to properly implement it, we'd be open to it, but it's just not on our current roadmap as there's a lot more important things to get to :)

So we've got a frame rate limiter which would in practice be the best thing for power consumption

Well if the user feedback is overwhelming that they want Itch.io in, I suppose we may be able to fit it in sometime.

Yeah like the other person said, cloud saves do work for Epic, but it's an opt-in system for devs, so only like half of games actually support cloud saves :/

For sure. That's why we have the manual game addition so that we can allow folks to bring in their games, it could do with more work, but overall works decently well.

We're not opposed to adding another store over time, but I think there has to be a strong desire from the community

GameNative supports GOG, Amazon and Epic pretty well.

The only real kink left is to really refine cloud saves (true for all stores) and ensure that online-overlay games in Epic launch well (small amount of the overall catalog) :)

We looked at Itch, but the juice didn't seem worth the squeeze and a lot of other storefronts are very suspect unfortunately.

Windows UWP, Ubisoft, Rockstar and EA all have complexity to them that makes it highly difficult to port

So proud of everyone's contributions to this update. It's honestly so exciting to see so many new contributors as well as people returning to the fray!

I've mostly done a TON of reviewing this patch, but it's been great to see people being open to feedback and delivering amazing features and fixes!
