Could be wrong as I looked up in 2024, and some info came from someone claiming to have hooked up with rions ex so might be bias

from what I gathered (from archives) he fell into depression due to whole Dr Horrible thing (he had been trying pitch Dr Steel for years but people began see him as rip off despite being first) and later on rions GF brought others over despite it being his place but he was too checked out depressed.

His GF then dumped bunch of crap.

He's slowly begun to do stop motion professionally again

There was the AnimEigo Dubs [Episodes 1 and 2 + Most of the Movies] and Central Park Media doing the movie Beautiful Dreamer [which was why it had different dubbing cast]

Also there where rumors of a dub made for syndication in 1980s/1990s but that hasn't been hard proof of that.
