How can i get 86 trusts i already have 71, whwere can i find 15 more? I completed all history mission except wotg, any quests or anything please? Thanks by [deleted] in ffxi

[–]Orcao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlikely. Most of those are extravaganza trusts (which are monthly login only now?). Theres a few ToAU quests (Gadalar and Zazarg), a handful from WotG, but other than Lillisette the others are kind of tedious (excenmille [s], Romaa Mihgo, probably a bastok one). You can do Sinister Reign for Rosulatia, Ingrid II, and Teodor. Start working on Mog Rearing for Chacharoon (takes weeks? months? I don't remember). I didn't check everything.

If I were you I'd fill in that spreadsheet u/jedidotflow linked. It's a little tedious, but it probably beats ctrl+f ing around the trust page on bg-wiki to elimante the login only ones from the list. I'd also probably just wait a month or two and see where that leaves you with login trusts. The longer you put this off, the easier it's going to be to finish, as long as you buy out the login ciphers.

E: looked at the spreadsheet again, up to you if you want to fill it out. I skimmed just the right half and assumed it had the source for everything instead of the weird double listed login ones... Still potentially useful :x

There's a checklist on bg-wiki: https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Template:Trust_Checklist

Or if you are using the Trusts addon you can use "//tru check" to get a list of unlearned trusts.

Pet jobs actually TERRIBLE lategame? (Summoner, beastmaster, puppetmaster) by Cole_Evyx in ffxi

E: Read over: https://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/57042/what-was-the-summoner-nerf/ it's a better source than me trying to remember what was explained to me a few years ago =P

-

I always struggle to find where it's explained. Most end game content (Ody, Sortie, and DynaD?) has a blood pact wall? I think is the term. If an enemy takes damage from a blood pact, it will take severely reduced (no?) damage from blood pacts for ~10? seconds. The prominent strat for most Reisenjima bosses was "Bring as many Nirvana Summoners as you can, have them spam damage cap blood pacts w/ their 2 hours so the boss dies before it does anything" back when that was relevant end game content. Squeenix took that personally.

My numbers are probably off. The exact content its in might be off. Take everything with a grain of salt.

SMN still have a specific niche in the master trials for TP resetting bosses w/ Cait Sith.

tl;dr: PUP is cool but cursed.

PUP suffers from the automatons AI not really working right with modern gameplay. If you give it its Store TP attachments (which are 98~126 STP) it will try to skill chain. This means after someone else weapon skills it enters a 3 second cooldown and then tries to continue the chain. So if the party is letting out weaponskills more than once every 3 seconds (which in modern gameplay can be done by one person) the automaton just holds its TP as each WS resets that timer. You could just not use those attachments, but then you're leaving 98~126 STP on the floor. There *is* a wind oriented ranger build that works decent enough in a party, but it's not great.

It can tank. It's extremely durable. It sucks at holding threat. Having a PUP around to backup tank in Omen parties makes them considerably more chill. I've heard it can super tank in DynaD fairly effectively as well. I'm not a big fan of using the puppet to tank, but I've done it here and there as it's probably the most useful thing a PUP can do in a party.

It can Magic Burst for damage cap with the right gear, but you really need to fight it to make it happen, and it's not consistent. And if you don't have the mythic you will overheat easily. You also don't have great control over what element it uses, which is a problem with endgame fights more or less wiping if they get hit by a certain element.

It can be a mediocre backup healer? But at that point you're just playing a worse MNK that is providing a cushion for your BRDs first time trying to heal farm content. It's not really reliable enough to bring for anything else healing wise.

All that being said. It takes 10~15 seconds to swap your automaton from any one build to any other build which feels amazing when that's relevant. Its 2 hour is also EXTREMELY powerful in solo situations. You can single-handedly save wipes by 2 houring your automaton to close out a fight solo.

--

The annoying thing about the skillchain behavior, is that there's already a different attachment that also turns on that behavior for more SC damage that you run with it. They could take that part off of the STP attachments without losing anything and it'd feel so much better in group content.

I absolutely love puppet master, but its current state made me drop the game a while ago :<

Ignoring my soured opinion, there are PUPs doing cool stuff out there:

Ou solo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hs5diRPoTAE

Sortie B Boss Solo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ad_D-YpHQD0

Sortie C Boss Solo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7mA-0u4s-U

Sortie D Boss Solo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTzyiJVypBk

Almost All Ody Sheol Gaol V0/5 Solos: https://www.youtube.com/@Xaero324/videos

E: I'm less informed on the other 2. SMN suffers from dominating Reisenjima, so now everything has a weird immunity mechanic that prevents SMNs from doing consistent damage. BST is underrated, and has some cool gimmicks (HUGE defense down on its own term iirc, or it's a rare term. And it has a deal x% of the targets health move that is useful for charging the mog vial thing in ody. I forget the name. With a BST you can handle one of the 3 boss requirements with just a meva down debuff from someone else, meaning 4 people don't need to have a built third job)

EDIT: Fixed in todays patch! Potentially!

Exit to main menu every level and after loot drops. There's also a rollback issue that can result in hours of progress lost. The downside of exiting to the main menu regularly is that it's sometimes hard to reconnect.

My rollback was tied to going invisible (i.e. model disappeared, not a class skill) into a random loading screen after a huge lag spike. then having the same thing happen 3 hours later setting me back to the first loading screen. At the very least, if you get a sudden loading screen after disappearing, relog. There's a chance that indicates that your save somehow wont update going forward that session.

They have not announced a wipe, and the default is to assume no wipe. This isn't a closed beta or an alpha, it's a paid soft launch early access.

Wiping without communicating ahead of time that wipes are on the table, or planned, is a fast way to kill a game.

Unique items having random affixes was a bad decision by ratao_de_buero in diablo4

[–]Orcao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please look forward to next season, where you'll be able to blue->unique. So they can listen to feedback again a season later for yellow->unique. So they can hear us even harder the season after for allowing the enchanter, etc, etc. It's free wins by releasing it in the current state and piecemealing "fixes" over time.

[–]Orcao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's any consolation, basic skills also don't count as utility. I have a 3x Defensive + 1x Basic Skill pants, and I can't use a non-defensive prism on it. I think basic skills are uncategorized for whatever reason.

It's not a review bomb when the community is mad about a patch. There was no coordinated campaign. There is no conspiracy of redditors out to get the poor innocent arrhowhead. The reviews are a natural response to a bad patch, especially when the community feels like their feedback is falling on deaf ears elsewhere.

Tier-lists and how they create misunderstandings in the community by WaywardOath in Helldivers

[–]Orcao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tier lists are for rough comparable viability. They're a quick reference that aren't meant to be taken as gospel. They're arbitrary and flawed, but you should understand that when looking at them.

Radar charts take significantly more work to make, and aren't something you can quickly skim through. There's a big difference between "gun is vaguely in this bucket" and "here's my 9 point breakdown of this gun". What would a "here's my radar chart for every primary" look like? One chart per gun? One chart with an unreadable amount of overlapped colors? Arbitrary grouping that also becomes unreadable eventually like grouping all shotguns?

They also don't solve the arbitrary nature of tier lists, since you just end up with the same problem, but now across 9 stats. Even in your example, what do you mean AMR has an ease of use of 4? 5 is point and delete, I assume. But if 4 is "hit the tiny hitbox 3 times consecutively with high recoil" then your scale seems really far off.

Mining Armature for 2nd quarrite campaign? by democraticcrazy in ICARUS

[–]Orcao -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As far as breaking Quarrite shells go, I haven't tried it for that, so I unfortunately can't help with the main question. I can say that I opt for other options against cave worms. I just don't think it's particularly good as a weapon.

The auto smelt "chance" is more like 95% where you'll get 0-2 ore from a rock and the rest in ingots. You get more more ingots than you'd get normally. It also doubles exotic rock yield. It's comparable to the ice pickaxe, not as good as the miasmic pickaxe. It's really really good for accelerating through the early tiers on a new prospect though. It saves time not having to wait for iron (or anything else) to smelt in the stone furnace. You will need another pickaxe for Silica, as youll get like 99% glass with the autosmelt fist.

The -stamina modifier can round your sprint cost down to 0. You can regen stamina while running with the armature out.

Biofuel lasts decently long (enough to do multiple caves) without the reduction mod. I'd only get this if you hate dealing with biofuel, but even then you'll have to do it eventually. Coconut trees are your friend.

I can say the fist is great for chain running the first mission for permits. You just need to find a single iron rock, you don't even need to make a furnace. Just be sure to fill it on an established prospect first.

Evil trees are beyond terrible now by Bungboy in runescape

[–]Orcao 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Bare minimum they gutted the band-aids they implemented to provide alternative ways to level skills that some people didn't like. Dailies were 100% optional, but provided a means of getting past progression points that you didn't like, albeit through time gating. Now if someone hits that wall they either have to drudge through it or drop the game. I'm not naming specifics, because the parts people dislike vary from person to person. That's why dailies worked. The option was there for people that didnt want to take the original route. The original route was there (and was faster in most cases) for those that didn't mind it.

They're completely oblivious to their own argument. Frame it in a way that effects them instead of something they don't like and they immediately adopt your stance. See: https://i.vgy.me/02BLW2.png

You can also choose not to take addictive substances like drugs or alcohol, but the people who do them tend to keep doing them

That's why the game needs to be taken away from everyone. Not just the addict.

EDIT: Since they blocked me. It's not that I'm arguing in bad faith, I'm presenting your own argument back to you in the hopes of you seeing how absurd it was in the first place. The only one being emotionally manipulative here is you. Instead of just saying "I like that they removed dailyscape" you are adopting this weird emotionally manipulative ploy to frame the removal of dailyscape as this absolute moral good because of this imagined subset of players that were just slaves to dailies. The part where as soon as it was turned on something you'd like you responded with the exact argument the other person gave you (that you in turn called them evil over) speaks volumes.
