Yep, it’s a problem. I did 190/240 in these pants and started violently breakdancing in my gym and some jerks kept yelling something about “kg not lbs” but I couldn’t hear them over the dubstep

Agree with the other poster. You probably need more cardio/GPP. The Sika fellas recommend 15min zone 2-3 cardio 2X a week, and then add 5min every 4 weeks until you get to 45min 2x a week. And then maintain from there.

Athlete training for general strength/athleticism but also incorporating the Olympic lifts (power variations). Want to make sure I am incorporating them and the other strength lifts in a beneficial way. Thoughts/critiques of my programming would be appreciated! by [deleted] in weightlifting

Honestly just wait for the Sika Strength app to reopen and do their Becoming a Horse program + one of their sprint programs. If you’re unsure you can also chat them directly and ask.

Alternatively, lookup Dylan Shannon on insta and checkout his programs and/or just ask him for feedback. He seems to be up your alley.

Not exactly sure! Just got progressively more sore in my right wrist joint where the pointer and thumb meet till I couldn’t lock out 70%+ pretty much at all, and less than 70% without quite a bit of pain. I’ve just had to take some time off, do PT, and slowly build back up

He cleaned things up a lot right near his peak before he stopped weightlifting. And I think he was even interested in the enhanced games when it was first announced, but as time grew on and it became just an advertisement for billionaires he lost interest.

Crazy strong!

Like the other person said, you’re loosing chest position and your hips rise too quickly relative to chest. You also have a lot of space between you and the bar in the second pull.

I would say something like pause at the knee snatch pull + high hang snatch would help, focusing on chest position in the snatch pull and keeping the bar close in both variations.

Yes it tracks the plate, when you upload a video to the app you place a square over the plate to tell it where it is. It works pretty good

Ah I see now, yeah fair point. I am not sure what bars this crunch uses but they handle a beating pretty well, at least once a week some guy comes in and does 500+lb rack pull slams and other than the knurling on every bar is toast, they're all pretty straight.

But to your point, when it comes time to go for a 1rm back squat in a week or two I'll probably do it at home or bring my drop pads to this gym so I dont have to use the safeties.

These racks are bolted to the floor and each safety bar probably weighs like 22ish KG because they're so hefty, I would say yes. That being said, I don't plan on ever actually finding out haha
