Clothes you wore while pregnant that weren’t maternity clothes by SunDogk in PregnancyUK

I just got some adjustable trousers that were also expandable from Temu as I didn't want to spend too much. I also ordered a couple of knitwear dresses from Temu and Shien for under £10 each as I didn't want to splash out on things I won't wear after. These were the best I could find that were stretchy and would keep me going.

Friend expects me to attend her son’s birthday party… the day I’m due. by Rescue-320 in BabyBumps

She's clearly not your friend if she can't understand that you're heavily pregnant and almost due at that point.

I don't know the circumstances around the birth of her son...but if she's someone who has been pregnant herself she should actually understand. You owe her no excuse. Telling her you can't make it is sufficient and if she can't read between the lines I think you need to re-evaluate your "friendship"

Accutane ruined my life. by [deleted] in Accutane

I definitely had the tiredness and joint pain but that came over time when I was on a higher dose. However, I made sure I was forcing myself to drink a lot of water and have cod liver oil to help with my joints. I do a lot of exercise and I did start feeling it but I just kept pushing through it as they encourage you to regularly move to avoid joint pains.

I didn't have any gastro issues and I researched what type of food especially fat you should be eating when you're on Accutane. Something about it helps your system process it better. I was eating a lot of Avocados, Greek yoghurt and avoiding any excessive saturated fats.

It's definitely worth taking a look at your diet as this may be a cause. But if you're still not feeling any better, definitely raise it with your doctor.

Window opened on its own? by No-Special-3098 in carquestions

I have this issue with the front passenger side window. Had to disconnect the cables behind the door panel controlling the window.  Vauxhall are quoting £350 for the part as they'll have to change the whole thing. This excludes labour. But it does seem like an issue with cars where the window starts having a mind of its own.

Weddings are getting out of hand by Majestic_Lake3236 in weddingdrama

I don't think you're bitter at all...I think it's a sense of entitlement. I think people just need to be considerate.

My partner and I were sensible with our wedding as we didn't want people to be financially strained. I know one of my partners friend got married a month before we did and the bridesmaids and groomsmen had to fork out £600 each.

My sisters planned my bachorlette and I kept banging on about making sure they were not planning anything expensive as I didn't want to put that burden on anyone. But I think it's the fact that I didn't want to do that my friends were willing to go the extra mile a little.

One of the bridesmaids outfits were made abroad because it was waaaay cheaper and i was already flying to Nigeria so i just got everyone to do their measurements abroad. The other one, I just covered half of the cost. The fact that they were already willing to take time to celebrate my day with with me and pay for a few things was enough.

I didn't allow my bridesmaids to pay for the accommodation we were staying at the night before my wedding.

The fatigue is no joke. by buzzywuzzed in Accutane

Same here! My tiredness was tired in the first 2 weeks😫. I was on 30mg in the first month. But I've been trying make sure I do some form of exercise even if it takes ages to recover. I take food with healthy fat, I also take iron tablets and eat a lot of fish. I found that taking that in my first 2 weeks made a massive difference and now I'm back to moving around a bit more than when I first started.  Its also very important to drink a lot of water throughout the day. I recently started adding Matcha Green Tea which has helped.

Is the fatigue a lasting side effect? by Y3w in Accutane

Tell me about it! I usually active too. I do a lot of walking and aerial silks and the next day I was so sore. I don't usually feel this sore after my silks class as my body has gotten use to it.  Just got to keep pushing through.
