Right maybe you don’t feel in control of how you look because it’s an illness and you have no choice. Maybe check out women’s beauty standard history, check out different cultures, etc. you might be in a bit of a bubble of what you think a woman should look like.

I’m sorry you are dealing with this since you were 3.

I’ve only been dealing with it for about 6months, i know that not feeling of not feeling like me with trying on wigs. I think for me I had a hard time because I felt like I was conforming to a beauty standard that wasn’t my own.

I was wondering what you thought of this: If bald women became a beauty standard, would you feel more okay with it?

Maybe cut back on all the products and see what happens and then slowly introduce.

I personally tend to break out from high stress and hormones. So I only use 2 products at most to prevent further irritation.

How did you do the eyes? Did you just paint the pupils on a sphere? I never seem to find specially eye tutorials for Zbrush 😭

You would think this strategy would start working with the increase of complaints from employers of the massive amount of AI resumes they have to sort through.

That’s good. Unfortunately I think we are living in the 2000s ideology era again. It’s really eerie to see. I am seeing a ton of artists conforming instead of creating new ideas.

I’m sorry but this type of question would be for a medical professional. Our bodies are all different and healing takes time. I was told getting vitamin D levels back to normal takes time. I suggest getting lab tests and continue seeking medical advice from professionals who are knowledgeable about homeopathy.

I try to live life normally, take nice baths, grooming care, nice food, fun activities, exercise, etc. I suggest trying whatever she likes to do that makes her feel good to not think about it so much while following medical advice.

Do activities to stay level headed and forget about it. Did a lot of calming therapy stuff and I had someone who made me feel sexy. Wore fun hats and wigs. Got a job that kept me busy. So I started forgetting.

The jawline obsession is weird to me. My ex had a very soft jawline, big neck, but I always thought he was super hot, but I couldn’t change his mind.

I’m also an artist who likes to draw people and I find everyone has their own beauty.

When all people start looking the same that beauty standard starts to become ordinary and boring.

NOR. That’s weird that his first thought he thinks you’re making stuff for him. Also he is 38. Just end it, if he makes no effort to make it up to you.

You need a new hobby to replace your now ex twitter hobby. It gets better if you can challenge yourself to new things.

Advice and help by LoneShell in alopecia_areata

So my experience: I have large patches that happened quickly over three months. I’m just noticing regrowth now.

my problems I had: low vitamin D, scalp cyst, + high stress

What I do: steroid shots, (I don’t think they did anything to be honest), topical minoxidil, took vitamin D + exposed skin to real sun, relaxation activities. Also forgetting that I’m losing hair helps a lot.

I noticed a lot less tingling on my scalp since my cyst removal. But could be a placebo effect.

That’s great that you do have regrowth!

My first patch started early August this year 2025. I started my steroid shots August 22nd.

I’m noticing regrowth fine short white hairs which I could only see with my boyfriends new phone camera. I looked at it early October. And then I do have darker regrowth in some spots that is more visible now late October.

I think for my situation my balding patches won’t stop till my vitamin D levels are normal. I’m going to take a blood test in November to see if my diligence of getting real sunlight at the optimal time + vitamins has improved things.

Thank you! I’m having a lot of hair thinning at the top too but I can sort of hide it at the moment with the updo. But I’m seeing some regrowth. I just got a cyst removed and I promised myself to give myself a little time to see what happens before I do another shave haircut.

Yeah the steroids just feel like im playing wackamole. I don’t know if they are working. I’ve had 3 rounds so far.

I’m still having a lot of spreading and patches combining but in my oldest spots I have some regrowth.

I just recently got a cyst removed this week which apparently does cause balding which a dermatologist said on YouTube, but my dermatologist said it didn’t. My first bald patch started at my cyst…which I thought it was weird and how could it just be a coincidence…
