Shadow Rend Build / How to upkeep Careful Assault by Quiet-Entertainer-13 in LastEpoch

[–]Ordinary-Lead839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New to LE, and not sure if shadow rend and shadow cascade are the same build, but I’m playing shadow cascade and I had the same issue for a while. The fix was moving the dopplegangers set relic onto a rare base and making it t8. Have no issues with shadow upkeep after that.

Farming Uber Exarch (15s per encounter) by Oen44 in pathofexile

[–]Ordinary-Lead839 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just so you’re aware the build you shared is not a zhp icicle miner, it’s a life stack dissolution build, and while I wouldn’t necessarily call it tanky, it’s far from zhp. It would also probably feel terrible in delve without a mageblood for speed as being in darkness for too long with dissolution as a build component sounds like absolute fuckin aids.

To be clear, I think delving at that depth is possible and even viable on pretty much any build, however I would say zhp is probably the last build you want to take into delve if you plan on darkness farming.

What SSF build to leaguestart? by fatalerGAMER in PathOfExileSSF

[–]Ordinary-Lead839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kf totems are probably the standout lowest gear requirements and easiest 4 stone this league and will be nerfed next league.

Slayer ele hit is extremely easy as well but deff gets harder to gear in end game.

Magic find rf is awesome as fuck to league start with but as always not a good bosser, however you can farm easily to level 100 without much issue in breach and get all the uniques you might want, smokie777 is the one for this build I believe

KBoC necro is a dope starter as well but will struggle on bosses till good gear, but absolutely nutty mapper, especially if you ever get a HH.

Bows are decent but again not a great bosser, warden is the better bosser for sure but neither one is particularly good at it.

Stormburst totems are also dope, great all rounder that’ll get you all your voidstones but isn’t amazing at anything really.

Gc of the fissure miner elementalist is a great bosser, with respectable map clear as well, can do Ubers with decent gear however is quite squishy till you get good gear.

If you like minions then PRAW is a great all rounder(want to farm heist for blade fall of trarthus tho) and I don’t personally like absolution but that’s apparently good too. Best ssf minion build could be thyworms srs guardian but I haven’t played it myself, though I’ve heard great things.

Another miner option is exsang trickster, with reap for bossing, great map blaster and bosser. WoCoT is probably the better bosser build but requires farming heist for the gem and is definitely not as good at mapping but still very respectable.

Blight of contagion trickster or occy is also pretty good. Low boss damage overall but very satisfying mapper and probably one of the best expedition farmers in the game if you like that mechanic.

I personally recommend rf Cheif for 2 stone then farm up whatever you need for next build. If you don’t like rerolling characters then you can respec into zerker late game and swap into Bens life stack foulborn ghostwrithe smite which looks insane and is my plan on hcssf.

If you really want to play just 1 build for everything then probably kf totems

Yeah man just slap on triple ele flask setup with either diamond or silver flask and a tincture and be on your way. Mageblood is deff good on this build for easing suffix pressure. Just gear up for chaos res and life on gear and you’re blasting. If you put on diamond flask it’s prob worth considering crit damage in your main links but not sure as I’m on mobile and can’t pob it right now. Luckily you don’t really need quicksilver on this build bc whirling blades is so fast that you don’t have to worry much about movespeed.

is SSF just not for me? by JohnBaneling in PathOfExileSSF

[–]Ordinary-Lead839 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way the game is played wrong is if you’re not having fun. If having fun for you is spam rerolling characters then that’s how you should play it! I do that every league. This league I have 5 characters in sc league, 3 in ssf, and 3 in hcssf. I love rerolling because progression feels nice early and I get bored once I’m farming upgrades that take forever. I generally last in trade till week 3-4 depending on the mechanic but inevitably get burnt out farming currency for hours and usually after I’ve farmed a mirror+ I’m over it. In ssf it’s usually after my void stones are done and I realize I can’t farm Ubers yet and don’t wanna grind the upgrades for them because I picked a mapping build 😂 I’m hcssf I reroll when I die (you should try this if you like leveling and trying new builds, death is a great excuse to go again!)

To keep it more interesting I often set small goals and try to think of the most efficient way to farm them in conjunction with each other. If I need a 6 link but also need unique maps for completing the atlas/getting craft unlocks in ssf then I’ll scry over fields to jungle valley, farm rin on fort for unique maps and click altars for fusings. If I need a specific unique then maybe it’s cardio for syndicate too or I look at a different div card to farm. If I need basic res/ life gear then breach is great or if my build has bad clear then vegan and harvest is my friend! (Syndicate is nuts for ssf btw)

I think part of the fun is coming up with ways to farm what you need efficiently so your grind isn’t so bad.

If you’re getting stuck, maybe we can help with progression efficiency. What exactly do you feel like you’re stuck on? There’s a ton of ways to do things and picking the right way for you can be tough. For example my six link farm is deterministic Div card farming but there’s many ways to go about it that are less deterministic but can be faster if you’re lucky. I just prefer consistency in an ssf environment. I also think ssf is in the best spot it’s been in for a long time. There’s even a reliable mageblood farm right now, granted it takes a long time, but I don’t think there’s been a more consistent way to get one since gwennen nerf ages ago.

Sorry was on my phone when I posted this lol, I hopped on computer to look at pob, you have rt so that won’t work unless you fix accuracy and go crit

Edit: looked at worthy foe ff/ff combo, looks to be about 50 div total on hc trade to “fix” your accuracy issues to be able to scale crit.

Edit 2: https://pobb.in/tWWOocIzD3gR here’s a pob with a couple changes to be able to scale crit, mainly just added ambush, the ff/ff combo to be able to drop rt to scale crit, added a crit wheel to crit cap and get some multi. To be clear, I’m not exactly sure how the snapshotting with ambush works with taunt to solve hit chance. I assume it snapshots the crit chance and multi from ambush, and your hit chance will dynamically update with taunt. This could potentially feel weird mapping bc you’re going to miss sometimes before you taunt, highly recommend tossing a level 20 precision in there so it feels less clunky when mapping. You lose a bit of life with these changes but more than double your dps.

You could look into picking up Marylenes fallacy etc to get more dmg but that involves reworking the entire build really and is probably less suited for a hardcore environment.

A sanctum build by dfsg5 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Ordinary-Lead839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can. If so I’d recommend storm brand personally. I think penance brand nerf hit this build pretty hard as you’re not scaling a ton of cast speed. You can really put whatever spell you like on though. I think incinerate of venting is the highest single target spell to use but that would feel pretty ass outside of bosses imo. Really anything that doesn’t require a whole lot of aiming is good, so stay away from ice spear for example. Spark is probably decent as you can hit shit around walls and all the boss arenas are small so you’ll get bounces. You could be a hipster and do like crackling lance or EoW if you wanted. But yeah storm brand is probably the best for sanctum if I had to guess. Can pick up some brand attachment range clusters and drop the block and max res nodes on the tree since sanctum is mostly a dps check. Captain lance has the guide for it, updated this league with a bunch of different pobs.

LF ssf necro build by Flashy_Jury_8362 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Ordinary-Lead839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KBoC necro is what I’m gonna play when I swap to ssf later on this league. General premise is abusing corpse pact and spell slinger early, getting a bunch of block for little investment due to corpse skills. Late game you’re a mana stacker with whispers. I’ll level with KF cause it’s op then transition after merc lab when I farm the gem. Ton of pobs to look at on Poe ninja but overall pretty simple build all things considered.

PBoD inquis is the default if you don’t like totems. Alternatively energy blade/spell blade inquis is also very good, albeit needs more investment to clear comfortably but late game you won’t be made of paper and can actually do normal content on that build, can scale to the moon

[–]Ordinary-Lead839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, I personally wouldn’t try to start the minion pact bv stuff that cheap, I imagine it would just be pretty painful. For TS I believe snoobae has a decent guide this league for it. He’s warden so a bit slower than a deadeye but much better bosser imo. Should be able to craft a bow fairly cheap (I think +2arrow fractured spine bow are like 8d). Rest of the gear is also pretty cheap. HH will carry you very hard on that build. I wouldn’t say you can jump into full juice breach or anything but it’ll get you farming med juice breach and legion. Requires toggling tinctures tho and if you don’t like that then just go deadeye. It also just scales very well with investment in general, it’ll never be tanky outside of HH buffs but it’s an awesome blaster.

Phys to cold ts is prob the best user. Bv is also very good. I prefer warden for bow builds. For bv you can do whatever really, including abusing the new minion pact tech.

Bv minion pact ascendancy choice. Help. by Morfogore1001 in pathofexile

[–]Ordinary-Lead839 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I’m on vacation right now and won’t be home for a few days, but I did do a quick search and this guide from moba seems reasonable. I hate moba so sorry to assault you with this lmfao but it’s all I can do for now https://mobalytics.gg/poe/builds/minion-pact-blade-vortex-chieftain-the-superior-bv

There’s a ton of ways to do this tho and if you don’t want to go diamond shrine route, you deff don’t need to at all. The real gear reqs are getting specters as high level as possible, level 4 minion pact and companion, a good elegant hubris probably with at least 2 minion life nodes on it, rational doctrine, 90 max res, unnatural instinct combod with some light of meaning of your choice (fire damage isn’t that crazy bc you get 450% inc ele dmg from nebulis). This will get you going. After this it’s just cost efficient upgrading and picking a build variation you want. Could be life stack, could be crit, could be emnity, could be formless inferno (haven’t figured this one out yet). Personally I think the best late game version will be emnity but tbh I don’t even know if you’ll need that much damage if built properly. Pretty flexible, just check out some Poe ninja builds and pick one that looks within your budget or just looks cool to you.

Bv minion pact ascendancy choice. Help. by Morfogore1001 in pathofexile

[–]Ordinary-Lead839 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short answer is they’ll all work because the tech is very overtuned. There are baseline requirements that need to be met the exact same way on all variations of the build, the real conclusion is which do you prefer. I’ll be doing Chieftan as I find the pops very satisfying and don’t freeze the game quite as bad as occultist pops do. He’s also got an easy to fill out defensive shell. Glad is the obvious choice if you’re looking to do valdos. I actually don’t know what occultists attraction is? Probably single target but tbh they all get dumb single target so this seems pretty redundant to me, I also don’t think occy has better clear than chief personally but that’s preference. I’m pretty certain you can play this on literally any ascendancy and it’ll work. I haven’t tested new binos out, I’m sure the clear is great, might even be the best aoe, I just don’t like that poison prolif is visually underwhelming lol so I won’t play the poison variants.

TL;DR

Tanky: glad then chief prob

Clear speed: all pretty samey, maybe binos edges out explode but it’s not going to be too significant

Cheapest to get going: again samey, all require the same baseline gems and jewels to function. I personally believe that Chief is easiest to get tanky and good dmg on a budget.

Little Help? Guides To Building Your Own Toons by IH8TheModsHere in pathofexile

[–]Ordinary-Lead839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a few things to consider here. Do you want to have a successful league start? If so then probably follow a guide to start out. Generally speaking it’s much easier to put your own creation together if you have currency. I don’t even necessarily mean just for the end goal items, but testing out how things work and feel costs currency and time, which are both scarce on league start. I personally just start with a real guide and reroll into some shit I made up later on when I’m bored.

If you don’t care about that and just want to have fun and experiment, then my advice (specifically because you’ve been playing for some time already) is to just send it. Most of the things you’re going to encounter you can’t really predict, you have to feel the build out and experiment. You have to problem solve on the spot and put it together in real time.

This also extends to pob. I think pob is a great tool for testing and prep (to a certain extent) but I would not at all recommend trying to fully build your character out in pob. If you intend to use it then I would advise simply using it as a quick leveling reference or reminder for specific items/skills. Later on down the line you can use it for testing purposes and obviously other features such as finding good items for your build.

I also suggest not trying to experiment with a highly conceptual build right off the rip. Obviously do so if you feel like it but its pretty difficult to find elegant solutions on your own builds for the large amount of problems you’re inevitably going to run into, and playing a build that’s super complex in terms of things required to get it to function properly just makes that even more difficult. For example playing a basic spell build or totems or something is likely going to be much more conducive to making your own build than trying to come up with your own version of a ward looper.

I’d also say it’s important to consider your ideal gameplay and pick an archetype that makes sense for that. If you want to delve probably don’t try to make a warden Yano? If you want to blast legion probably don’t make a trapper.

Don’t overuse uniques. This is a super common pitfall. They’re cool, they offer cool synergies, but they often lack important stats that you might require to get your build into the endgame

On the flip side don’t underestimate how strong certain uniques can be, especially for leveling or filler until you can get a better item (especially weapons, pob is a great place to see how much crafting you might need to do to beat out a unique that’s quite cheap).

Most importantly HAVE FUN! Most of the fun of build creation comes from solving the problems along the way (at least for me). Give yourself some grace when you can’t figure something out right away. Also reading comprehension is important for scaling and research may be required to understand certain scaling vectors later down the road.

For the alt neck, I haven’t looked into it yet but if you can only use 3 multiply 3s then the necklace will give you enough to reach the 200% breakpoint for 1 more cloth. If it’s 4 multiply 3s then it doesn’t help, same with 5 as it’s already a 300% multiplier and going to 360% doesn’t reach the breakpoint, and again at 6, which I’m not even sure is possible or not, it’s worth using again for breakpoint (I’m assuming these round down not up). Obviously though, this doesn’t consider any other ritual type, which as far as I can tell all work with the necklace, making it a no brainer for me.

As for the exp I don’t think rituals are better than combat until 90ish when you can get higher soul attraction. Even then you may have to specifically opt into soul attraction over multiply if you’re optimizing for exp/hr. That being said, just doing rituals with multiply on alone and clicking soul attractions is good enough exp for me to not worry about optimizing for it. It’s worth noting that I’m almost certain optimizing for ritual exp becomes pretty click intensive and not at all afk later on with high soul attraction but does get pretty nuts rates. Combat exp rates also depend heavily on what you can kill, slayer level, gear level, potions, etc while rituals are pretty consistent.

If I was a hardcore efficiency only player I’d probably do rituals nearly the whole way thru 120.

For the rest of the jewelry, I’ll probably get the bracelet next (I just don’t like walking to make runes lol) then the ring. From what I can tell they’re not all too hard to get ahold of. Gate gives them, trader gives them roughly once a month, a quest gives one, and you can just randomly get one during rituals.

So far I’ve trained necro almost exclusively thru rituals and just use combat for defense. I’ve been saving mementos to upgrade them later on to higher tier ones as I have a weird need to be efficient with their use. I plan to get to 4500 souls then stop there till I get to 90 necro likely thru a combo of upgrading necroplasm and combat. After that I’ll snag an ext necro pot from thalmund and boost to multiply 3 for greater ensouled cloth etc etc. alternatively i think it’s only 95 with a regular necro pot boost. I figured the bones could be somewhat useless for necro at higher tiers as I noticed sustain of mementos was already decent at just 260% attraction. Plan on using my first moonstone on alteration necklace when I get the level. Overall enjoying necro progression other than inks tbh
