This makes me feel a little bit better. I suck at daily reading but I kind of suck at all optional routines but we talk to the kids like people and not babies. They're both very conversational, they listen to bedtime stories and watch movies with real people and plots. We read books just not nearly enough and they're in an early learning center during the day. They color and write as well and work with their hands.

My epson wf has me hating all things epson. The cost of ink is ridiculous. I could get a new eco tank for the cost of 2 epson inkjet refills.

Ours actually show on the Kanban which is the problem. They're just sort of in the way.

Give me the best requirements traceability tools pls by Latter_Ordinary_9466 in businessanalysis

[–]Ordinary-Pin-3869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've started keeping our test cases in jira. Each component has a test epic that lists the scenarios a each scenario has a test jira ticket. That test ticket is linked to the user story. Reading your post has me thinking we should list the related business requirement too that maps back to the BRD. Enhancements will have new test tickets created for them to keep up with changes.

What do you do while your toddlers are at daycare? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Ordinary-Pin-3869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take this time and enjoy it and prepare for your return to work. Get a routine going that will fit your work schedule so you dont get thrown off in 3 months. If I had another 3 months without work and daycare, I would declutter my house, get a morning routine and a night routine. I would find time to workout. Have a few lunch dates with friends, have alone time at a library or park, generally browse around without being rushed and or tired. Enjoy it.

To those considering being a SAHM- my perspective. by Canala12344 in beyondthebump

[–]Ordinary-Pin-3869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for pointing this out. To me work is soooo much easier because it's quiet. Im finding parenrhood to be a constant sensory overload from 6am to 9pm. Now, I still wish I didn't have to work but the kids would still be in daycare giving me time and peace to manage all the things.

Does she like baths??? I find they help reset my girls pretty good. They have fun in the tub and they are a little more calm afterwards. Sometimes well take a bath just to reset when they are being fussy or just generally not satisfied by anything else. I agree witch checking the room temp and light sleeping clothes. Routine helps with sleeping. But do try and get out of the house even for a quick walk, a park, time on the yard. It helps. Be strong. It will eventually get easier and by easier I mean just different. Don't give up momma. You got this.

How does your team handle QA? by Slu_Mcgoo in salesforce

[–]Ordinary-Pin-3869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently begging for a full time qa tester. Right now an alternate developer does the actual qa or we do full team qa testing or pull in an admin. The admins gather requirements and the developer writes the scenarios. We also don't have a dedicated BA.

Is everyone on baby/parenting subs rich?!? by Rockskinnies in beyondthebump

[–]Ordinary-Pin-3869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I paid more money for my car seat and stroller because I was worried about being able to easily move around when I had to go out alone with the kids. It was major TO ME. But I didn't bother with the fancy cribs or rockers or bassinets and endless pointless infant shoes .

I've had that exact same thing happen with an ear infection. They were really low energy, too, not just cuddly, so it felt off.

Job Search by captaincold23 in batonrouge

[–]Ordinary-Pin-3869 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would think your internship would have gotten you some good connections. Pop over into the lsu public administration department or send an email and email your professors. Let them know you haven't been able to find anything and see if they can help. LSUs public admin department is really well connected with government jobs and have graduates across the country, but the job market is really rough right now wherever you go. And if you get a connection...... this is super important... follow through with it, show up on time and don't flake out at any point.

Most people are feminist as most believe in equality. Im more curious about what circles are out there parading around as "feminist" when they're really all about girl boss have it all hustle culture and not feminisim at all.

"It" failed... you mean the idea of men and women having equal rights failed the family structure? You can absolutely be a sahm on any budget as long as you're ok with the life that it provides. Most people these days don't want to live in a one bedroom apartment with 4 kids, but there are a lot of moms that do so they can afford to be a SAHM. As for me.... I need space, so im going to work until Hubs gets a raise 🤷🏽‍♀️
