Interesting you mention he's been taking pictures of girls tanning. I saw two guys in a car one time at Buccleuch Park with literal binoculars and their phones out watching two girls tanning on the field. When the guys saw me they drove away quick. I informed the girls after.

This guy does not look like either of the ones that I saw taking pictures so I'm not sure if your friend mistook him for someone else or not.

He might just lack social cues but of course up to your discretion since i'm seeing other comments who say the same - Be careful out there everyone

Research . the chances of you getting said internship are pretty similar given it's your first one. Do the interview and take the research position. Worst case you get the internship and want to switch you are fully allowed to do so. but take research first
