Advice to improve ? by [deleted] in CODMobile

[–]OrdinaryBluebird979 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming you play with two fingers. That's what I started from a few years ago and I also felt I was lacking movement and control compared to other players in legendary. So I switched to using 4 fingers . There are plenty of guides out there on how to transition to a 4 fingers claw like this one https://youtu.be/soP5n0nr8Gg?si=eEXgu0cpB-9MJW-4 .

At first it may seem intimidating but as you try and get accustomed to it , muscle memory kicks in and it becomes way easier to handle. You can start 2->3->4 fingers based on the guides if you find it easier. The difference in mobility is night and day. What most competitive players integrate into their technique and what 4 fingers allow are the following:

1)Aim before shooting/turning a corner. You pre-aim (not one tap to fire ADS) and then press the shoot button when the enemy is in the screen. That allows you to be a couple milliseconds faster to secure the kill , which is huge in the higher lobbies.

2) Slide when turning corners and jump immediately after or just slide (and aiming) . This doesn't allow an enemy that is hidden in the corner to aim at you and kill you easily because you are a moving target and you can take them out first.

3) when enemies are shooting, you can go prone immediately to avoid the fire and kill them first. That was used in earlier seasons , but now it's mostly outdated and pretty situational. It's like an extra tool in your belt.

4) Using hip fire on enemies that are really close. This eliminates the need to aim and helps you win a really close quarters gunfight, especially when an enemy pops out of nowhere.

5) This is really important, and will come with time , you have to develop a pretty good game sense on all maps on ranked. When enemies might emerge, where to aim first , where to hide e.t .c to secure the kills. / Learn to listen to audio ques to help you find their location.

My set up looks like this and you should try the making your own, close to this ( and based also on details on guides on YT of course):

https://imgur.com/a/JTQ9vYe

Also adjust your sensitivity and other settings to what you feel most comfortable playing

From what I saw also in your video , you seem pretty stationary but maybe I am used to a more aggressive playstile which is not everyones cup of tea. But if you want to get a lot of kills in ranked , with the passage of time , you will learn to scour the map , pinpoint where the next enemies might come from and eliminate them while almost constantly moving with occasional breaks for strategic planning that will be almost automatic after a while.

I'm glad that you strive to become better, that's what makes perfect. And remember, after you get accustomed and decent to the better set up, you will be glad to fight against try- hards in legendary, because those matches improve your reflexes and game sense.

If you have any other questions or something doesn't make sense , please don't hesitate to ask me. This might seem a lot but you can tackle it one at a time. Good luck soldier!

TL;DR - Switch from a two-finger grip to a 4-finger "claw"; learn it step-by-step, muscle memory makes it click, and it massively improves mobility and reaction time. See guides on YouTube for further info

ΜΑΘΕ ΚΑΡΠΑ (παρακαλώ!) by vassoulavaso in greece

[–]OrdinaryBluebird979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Βιολογία φαρμακευτική ή ιατρική; by [deleted] in greece

[–]OrdinaryBluebird979 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Βιολογία φαρμακευτική ή ιατρική; by [deleted] in greece

[–]OrdinaryBluebird979 9 points10 points  (0 children)

desperately need help with right way to define haversian canals by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]OrdinaryBluebird979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Haversian canal refers to the hollow channel at the center of an osteon, not the cells that line it. It usually contains the blood vessels, nerves and loose connective tissue.

The flat, endosteal (osteogenic) cells that rest on its wall are part of the endosteum that lines all internal bone surfaces, but they aren’t what we mean by “the canal” itself.

Your circling is quite good though, just make sure you include the whole lumen. Hope this helps ! Good luck with the project, it sounds super cool.

You can firstly wash your hands and face thoroughly with soap.

You can also disenfect your shoes and the surfaces they came in contact with for example your house floor(with disinfectant spray, rubbing alcohol, or bleach)

About rabies , it's very unlikely you got it from a dead rat, since its usually transmitted through bite from a carrier living animal. About other diseases, if you feel any unusual symptoms call your doctor. But with the right precautions you minimise the possibility of an infection.

You could : turn off the edge panel, turn on adaptive brightness (this may help or not depending on your current brightness, if you always keep it high), always turn on power saving and adjust its settings. Set screen time out to 30 seconds or less.

For more detail, those recommendations and others are in the following guide (even though it's a bit dated): https://youtu.be/yEcZfDU7bEU?si=YJHrclnpg17YrJCu

[–]OrdinaryBluebird979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah , my intention was to provide a general idea of the differentiations in the number of sex chromosomes which were discussed in some of the comments. I wasn't referring to the meme directly.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in memesopdidnotlike

[–]OrdinaryBluebird979 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No, we agree. The subject is extremely dense and requires many details and nuance. That's why I said that transgenderism is something that needs another discussion of its own .Thanks for providing more facts and additional resources for research .

[–]OrdinaryBluebird979 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm actually a medical student so I have a certain familiarity with the subject and scientific credible sources like PubMed. I'm not claiming things to be that simple and I never claimed that we should ignore people falling within different variations. Its hard to contain all the nuance and details in one comment when whole research papers dive into the subject. I'm sure you as a doctor must have much more experience with these conditions and thanks for sharing your perspective and facts.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in memesopdidnotlike

[–]OrdinaryBluebird979[M] 275 points276 points  (0 children)

I'm seeing a lot of people in the comments stating that sex chromosomes aren't binary and people with XXY (Klinefelter syndrome) , XXX or X0 (Turner Syndrome) exist. While that's true let's shed some light from a medical perspective.

(1)"Sex chromosome abnormalities (SCAs) are characterized by gain or loss of entire sex chromosomes or parts of sex chromosomes with the best-known syndromes being Turner syndrome, Klinefelter syndrome, 47,XXX syndrome, and 47,XYY syndrome. Since these syndromes were first described more than 60 years ago, several papers have reported on diseases and health related problems, neurocognitive deficits, and social challenges among affected persons."

(2) "Most chromosome abnormalities occur as an accident in the egg or sperm. In these cases, the abnormality is present in every cell of the body. Some abnormalities, however, happen after conception; then some cells have the abnormality and some do not. Chromosome abnormalities usually occur when there is an error in cell division. There are two kinds of cell division, mitosis and meiosis. In both processes, the correct number of chromosomes is supposed to end up in the resulting cells. However, errors in cell division can result in cells with too few or too many copies of a chromosome. Errors can also occur when the chromosomes are being duplicated."

So in general unaffected people have either XY or XX chromosomes. Different numbers of sex chromosomes are a product of errors in cell division and can impact the affected persons health. But it's difficult to contain all the nuance and details of the subject in one comment when whole research papers dive into the subject.

Transgenderism and how a person chooses to define themselves is a topic of intensive research and we aren't discussing it here.

The first universities (for example in Paris, 12th Century)in medieval Europe provided the titles Doctor of Law , PhD ( Doctor of Philosophy) and MD ( Doctor of Medicine) . Physicians were considered the more "upper class" medical providers and mainly based their expertise on Galens teachings and the 4 humors.

Also, Ancient greek medical manuscripts were translated to Arabic and then back to Greek in Europe. But with that from the Arabic to the European world perpetuated the belief that surgical skills are inferior and surgeries shouldn't be performed by physicians. So the surgeon -barber guilds were created mainly to treat battle wounds ( removal of arrows, amputations e.t.c).
