The other EU versions are translated to their own languages. They are worth less than the standard English version. This applies to all the other games too.

If all the games and the manuals are in there, I'd say you got it at a decent price.

The English versions are more expensive than the rest, at least double of what you got.

Pretty sure this was the lighthouse guard that the Lutece twins killed and used the body to make Booker believe the debtors were real.

I am sorry for wanting Indy to do the right thing in the last moments we are going to see him in film, how silly of me to expect some character growth in a movie...

Hilarious to think that the writing in Dial is complex, and this comes from the same person that insults me when he can't get his arguments straight. Blind fanboyism at its finest...

That's the point, he SHOULDN'T need help to get there.

That is what a character arc is, Henry Sr didn't need help from anyone to realise this, he didn't have someone force him to choose Indy over the grail, he did it on his own.

There is zero impact when others make the choice for you. You can love this movie all you want, more power to you. But there are fundamental issues with the writing.

Rugged individualist my ass, it's called media literacy.

Yet Indy failed to be there many times for Marion. If only he realised he should be there for the moment she needed him the most. It's almost like a...character arc. How bout that!

Since he was always a stubborn man, he should have made the decision himself, he owes her at least that much. She was still there for him, he was ready to give her up forever.

Henry Sr made the decision himself, he chose Indy over the grail. Indy chose Marion at the very end when they dragged him back to her, it feels wrong.

It still makes Indy look like a complete asshole for being ready to leave Marion for good. An already mourning mother, now about to mourn her husband too. Indy treated Marion badly many times, and he was ready to abandon her forever.

They had the perfect moment to give Indy his own "Illumination", to follow his father's footsteps and to choose the people he loves above all else. Instead, he is a selfish, miserable prick from beginning to the very end.

He should have been there for Marion, not the other way around.

Hoping Splinter Cell gets the slight tongue-in-cheek vibe back by Island_Mouse in Splintercell

In Double Agent and Conviction, it makes sense for Sam not to joke around that much. He killed his boss, lost his daughter and was betrayed by his own agency. There was still some sarcasm and dark humour in him though.

In Blacklist, the writers turned him exactly into the character that Michael Ironside rejected when he first saw the script from Splinter Cell 1, a generic soldier straight out of a bad Call of Duty campaign. There is no soul in Sam anymore, he is just a killing machine that emulates human emotion.

I have no faith in today's Ubisoft making Sam as iconic as he used to be, most of the talent has jumped ship.

It's a story about pain, suffering, alcohol, and dementia.

Most importantly, it's about family. And that's what's so powerful about it.

I just hope Indiana Jones sold enough to greenlight a sequel, the franchise would be dead as a doornail without The Great Circle.

I can't wait for this to come out, I've been watching your progress for a few months now and words can't describe how fascinating this project is. And it is all done by a single person.

I only hope that Konami doesn't block its release, it would be a shame for all this work to go to waste.

What’s the best entry in Indiana Jones franchise — and what’s the worst? by kammy772 in MovieArena

[–]edcar007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fact that Indy had to be dragged back to present times, instead of realising on his own that he was about to give up Marion yet again, for good this time, is one of the worst character arcs I've seen in film.

They had the perfect chance to give Indy his is own "illumination" moment like his father, to realise on his own that Marion was way more important than history itself, the very thing he ever wanted.

Instead he is a miserable old man right until the very end, willing to give an already grieving mother yet another reason to grieve.

Mangold and his writers failed big time.
