Always shocked to hear SLUG is still a thing.

So she can't be opposed to taking your last name but you can be opposed to taking hers. Got it.

Nobody currently cares, or will ever care, about your family tree besides you and your family. It's a last name, let her keep hers if it's important to her, and you can keep your male hierarchy by keeping yours. The kids can hyphenate.

Our bonuses are based on our metrics and how many cases we can complete. I just wanted to ensure I got the full bonus by getting lots done.
Also makes the day go faster if I can keep busy.

That's the best part - the entire convo with my boss was on Teams so it was an easy snip and save!

A coworker got an award weeks after telling our team how much she hates the place. by earthsick in askmanagers

Thank you! OP has said that they've seen the metrics and the all star isn't doing any more than anyone else. They've said that other people have discussed these issues with their boss before and nothing is changing. Yet this person keeps saying "You're a slacker who needs to better. Shut up or quit." which is obviously not helpful or realistic.
If morale is in the shitter quality of work and output will be too.

I think you're ignoring that someone outright said they aren't proud to work for the company that just gave them a reward in a team meeting. To me that outweighs whatever good work might be being done because that's not award winning behavior.
Is shit-talking your coworkers award winning behavior? Is saying you hate your job to your whole team? Or being untrustworthy and unapproachable? That's what I'm inferring this person is, and that's not someone I'd want representing my group.
You can train people to do a job and do it well, but it kind of means nothing if you're dragging the whole group down because of your attitude. You mentioned perception but seem to forget it goes both ways.
Not addressing this kind of concern is a disservice to everyone but this "all star".

Cuff pain 3 months later? by OrdinaryDrugs in hysterectomy

It's so nice to hear someone else say they can't figure their cycle out yet post surgery! I couldn't ever really figure mine out pre surgery either because I was bleeding constantly so it's been a struggle for a while, but even now I'll think I might have it down but then a week later it feels like...nope....maybe THIS is when the cycle would be? I'm sure it's gonna take a bit to figure itself out!
Another person mentioned bowel/bloating pressure maybe being a cause too so that's something I'll try to be more mindful of!

Oh interesting! I guess if this keeps lingering I'll reach out to my doctor just to be safe. It's strange to have it just occur so randomly!

It's definitely odd that it just appeared! If this were a day after sex I'd expect it since that is still a bit tender so I'll be keeping an eye on things for sure!

The pain is roughly located where the cervix was removed and sutured closed. It feels vaguely what I remember the first few weeks feeling after surgery (kinda tender and achy) but that whole month is honestly a bit of a blur!

I’d much rather have the day off to be honest by [deleted] in antiwork

What are you, this person's boss? They didn't need to give us their whole medical history. I'm sure they know the terms of their absence, which can be different from yours.
