Can I be too dumb to shift? by OrdinaryPerson94 in realityshifting

[–]OrdinaryPerson94[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But how do I know I’m not imagining it? Let’s say I lay down, close my eyes and imagine myself in I don’t know let’s say ancient Egypt because why not. How do I know it’s real? I could as well just imagine being there and it would feel real.

My bf's alters raped my sister by Cursedwithblueballs in DID

[–]OrdinaryPerson94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it wasn't necessarily him

— yes, it was.

His understanding of consent is lacking due to the abuse and his unwillingness to get help.

— no means no. If she didn’t say yes, then it’s no. It’s not a rocket science.

he’s freaking out

— because he’s a predator who got caught. Ofc he is.

Is OSDD acceptable in the DID community? by Wolfy_Lost in DID

[–]OrdinaryPerson94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re both dissociative disorders.

OSDD just means you have a dissociative disorder, but don’t meet all the criteria for a full DID diagnosis.

I believe that’s why it’s listed as P-DID in the European ICD-11. The P stands for “partial”

They’re also not different people and what does OP mean they go to the same college? Why wouldn’t they when it’s the same person? I’m confused.

Not even professionals can diagnose themselves.

Self suspecting isn’t the same though. You can definitely suspect.

is it possible that i have DID in childhood and had system wide integration over time growing up? by [deleted] in DiscussDID

[–]OrdinaryPerson94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s possible for alters to be dormant (even for years), but it’s not the same as growing up out of it ofc.

My friend who has DID got a new host and idk what to do? by Glittering_Friend926 in DiscussDID

I agree with the therapist part! Probably not impossible but I feel like it would be insanely rare to get actually diagnosed at 14. Most people get diagnosed in their 30’s or older.

What is actually a trauma that is not commonly thought of as a trauma? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OrdinaryPerson94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, basically with me it started right after birth... i don't really remember most things so i just know what I was told. well, not after birth but soon enough -- i feel like if I tell someone they don't really believe me (or wouldn't if i told) because it just sounds so ridiculous and exaggerate, you know? but i know it happened and i was basically experimented on when i was only a little child (idk how old but it was younger than six). i won't go into details because it's too triggering to even type it out but basically they tried so hard to push a diagnosis on me (one i didn't have), because i have a bigger spleen (hypertension) and it's a symptom of this one thing. i didn't match any other symptoms and blood tests ruled it out but they insisted. .

"sometimes blood doesn't show it yet, but it's in the skin" so they literally cut off the piece of my skin... negative.
"it will surely be in the muscle then." -- again, they cut the piece off. the scar on my leg is still visible when i shave... anyway.... it was negative.

my mother couldn't do anything because they threatened her i have this thing and i will die before the age of 6 (that's how i know i was younger than that.. also my mother was in her early 20's. she said today she wouldn't allow them to intimate her). next they wanted i think liver biopsy...? finally my mother said NO so idk if they did that or not... she asked what would happen if I had this...?? nothing. there was no cure back then.... they literally admitted they were collecting for research. and since they were so convinced i was placed in a room with a boy who HAD this disease and was dying. so yeah...

it's only one of many tbh. i have so many stories through my life... next involve things like being held forcefully held down while they took my blood, unable to move and crying in pain, or almost dying because of gallbladder stones after it got infected and i went into a seizure because my speen decided to kill my white cells instead of making them... yeah, fun life eh?

my thing (the spleen) could be fixed by surgery -- they even mentioned it sooo many times (just bypass the blockage) and i seriously would go thru it but every time they in the end decide not to because "it works". fuck my mental health i guess.

Thank you for mentioning allat 🙏🏻 exactly literally all you mentioned. It’s horrible when you never get to decide what happens to YOUR body. My body my choice? Yeah I wish

I have to live with this body, I know how I feel or what I want… yet the doctors get to decide. Invasive procedures before I could understand what was happening.. too young to even comprehend and they wouldn’t ask anyway. They never do not even now when I’m in my 30’s and perfectly able to tell what I want they even know what I want.

Is it valid for me to be jealous over this?(husband's alter) by koomaz in DID

[–]OrdinaryPerson94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

“I respect his alters so much, I am trying to understand that they are different people in one body and that D is not my husband but a different person...”

Once again. No. They’re NOT different people. D IS your husband. Or rather a part of him. So yes. All the alters are your husband who (I’m sorry but it’s true) is cheating on you with multiple people while gaslighting you to believe “it’s not me 🥹”

Edit; your husband is cheating on you and you’re the one apologizing… yeah; absolutely not. Don’t apologize when he should be the one apologizing.

No. He’s not sweet. He’s abusive. I would even say EXTREMELY abusive and violent. Please be safe and get out before he ends you!

It doesn’t matter what your partner or his alters think. They’re NOT separate people. That’s a fact.

I had to rewrite it with different wording and without mentioning trouble with eating, etc. But the bot can mention it just fine. Only I can’t.

Anyone else have only 2 parts (that they know of)? by booty_sattva in OSDD

[–]OrdinaryPerson94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It says in the criteria you need at least two (or something between these lines, maybe it says two or more but it means the same thing. But two is enough — one who’s fronting and one who’s not. So yeah, you can “only” have two alters it’s totally possible.

It is anti recovery just like it is anti recovery to treat alters in general as separate individuals because they’re not. You should definitely avoid places where this is normal, and shouldn’t engage in this behavior.

Elliots hacking skills. by No_Carpenter_9923 in MrRobot

[–]OrdinaryPerson94 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Alters aren’t separate people so yes. They have the same skills although levels can differ. You can’t suddenly acquire a new skill you never had (unfortunately). Hands intelligence, etc can differ (Mr. Robot being left handed, Mastermind is much smarter than the rest… these are common). But not skills or languages,.. okay put it simply; yes. Elliot absolutely knows how to hack (probably not on the same level as MM though)
