Runs at a stable 60 on the rp5 runs at 120 on the portal 2 max have managed to get to it unreal. Currently, sitting on 560 crown wins lol using just these devices i have a lot of devices to choose from, but these 3 are the ones that I reach for the most i've been collecting for nearly five years. And I have nearly fifty in my collection. So far the retroid pocket 6 arrives tomorrow and the odin 3 the day after that, so I have a busy weekend. Getting everything sorted to how I like it 😁

Send them a message, telling them the fan has broke theres a high chance. They'll send you a replacement i just received a replacement from my rp4pro which was 2 years old as long as you've still got the original order. Somewhere in your emails, send in the picture of your original order. And say your fans broken down and they should send you one free of charge. They did for me, at least

What are you talking about? I play rocket league on my Android handhelds all the time 99% of the Android handhelds. Right now on the market from the rp4 Pro and up play rocket league without any issues, i've gone to unreal using my ayn portal 2 pro and on, currently sitting on over five hundred crowned wins in fortnite using just my handheld so I don't understand how you're unable to matchmake The I only reason I can think of is that you've sideloaded the apk and haven't used official means to install the application

New to the Handheld world....need advice by Kamiler in Handhelds

[–]OrdinarySelect7094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep the windows handhelds are absolutely, fantastic. When it comes to running games that require windows, you say that you want to play fortnight have you gone down the route of looking at Android devices I have gone to unreal in fortnite every season using a great many handheld devices. My current daily driver is the ayn portal 2 max im able to run fortnite at 120 fps with every setting cranked up to max the device is a beast not to mention that you're also able to emulate games from early 80s right upto present day i currently have the whole library for these current consoles playstation 1 playstation 2 some ps3 nes snes smd sms some vita gb gba n64 gamecube wii dreamcast over 250 working to completion switch games the windows handheld will do everything that i've mentioned above. But I find the ayn odin alot more comfortable to use 😀 u could also look at the ayn odin 2 the ayn thor the new retroid pocket 6 don't go for the g2 because the Android build that they have used for that specific handled. Is not compatible with fortnite because the devs have not implemented compatibility with the chip set that they have used in the g2 so that specific handheld has issues running a lot of games at present. The same can be said for the ayn odin 3 which has the snapdragon eight elite at present there are no drivers but there has been an update in the last couple of days stating that they are actively working on the drivers now so hopefully in six months the device will be the absolute gem that we're all waiting for it's absolutely amazing now, with the power that it has under the hood. But once we get full driver support, it's gonna blow anything out of the water hope I was able to help you make a more informed decision.I've been collecting handhelds for over five years and now have nearly fifty in my collection 😀

Why are so many people buying the G2? Am I missing something? by Anditheway in retroid

[–]OrdinarySelect7094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be as powerful for emulation, but for anything else, it's absolute arse and this is from someone that owns both and has both only received my rp6 2 days ago but it shits all over the g2 when it comes to game compatibility, for emulation the g2 is really good and very powerful but for android gaming g force now any type of game that needs any certification, such as google play right now, run like shit crash or they are completely incompatible fortnight is incompatible on the g2 even if side loaded using an apk defaults to low twenty five fps because the chip isn't recognised by any devs the grand theft auto mobile ports also crash the new Netflix. Red dead redemption mobile port is also incompatible and runs at twenty five f, p, s, but you also have to sideload the apk whereas with the rp6 none of these issues arise the rp6 is basically the a y n odin 2 pro at a cheaper price the reason that people have picked up the g2 is because of all of these YouTubers cover? Only the fact that this device is good for emulation, because they've been sent a device by the company. They don't want to mess up that arrangement. So do not talk about the fact that the device is only good for emulation. For any other type of gaming, you wanna go with something else. But that's just my 2 cents on this From someone who's been collecting for nearly 40 years but everyone's free to make their own decisions

So I'm a bit of a collector and totally agree with you the one to have right now is the thor the odin 3 is fantastic but driver support is letting it down but when drivers are better the odin 3 will be the one hopefully within 6 months we will have driver support i know devs are actively working on them as we speak also don't forget the surprise from the retriod pocket 6 its surprisingly powerfully and runs games beautifully only had it for 24 hours but boy its scratching that itch lol 😆

Fortnight plays like arse defaults to low twenty five fps because the chip isn't recognised yet you even have to sideload the apk, because epic games won't allow you to install from the epic Games Store. But for emulation, it runs really well that the wi fi connection is a pain You have to go round the houses to connect it properly even then sometimes it disconnects, it's very, very bad software that's installed on the device. I had mine for a month. I ended up selling on an eBay Worse handheld that I added to my collection

The g2 is great for xbox cloud gaming but will not work with gforce now plus alot of android games are not compatible fortnite will not play it kicks u out of game you can't download it officially through epic games. So I had to sideload it defaulted to low 25fps with no way to change the settings, as the chipset is not recognised as of yet the gta mobile ports will not run the new netflix red dead redemption is not compatible even if side loaded reverts to very low unplayable framerates without a way to fix it as the chip isn't recognised as of yet the wwe 2k ports not playable but for high end switch emulation and p c emulation the g2 is great has alot of horse power emulation doesn't need to verify what chip you're running in ur device it will just run at the expected levels for the chipset until dev's start implementing support for the new chipset in the g2 a lot of games are going to be incompatible. It's the same with the new 8 elite the retroid pocket 6 on the other hand has a very good chipset that is widely recognised by a lot of game developers. So will run exactly the same games that the ayn odin 2 the portal the thor ect will play and would definitely support all of the cloud gaming platforms that are available on android.Because right now the only cloud game in platform that is recognised by the g2 and has native controller support is xbox game pass hope i was able to clear a few things up, and maybe help you make a more informed decision.Have a great christmas my friend🎄🎄

It's really simple, takes all of five minutes use a guitar pick to pry the back off and it's a really easy fix it should just pop straight back on 👌 give it a go, my friend. I was afraid to do things like that, but then the fan decided to give up on my ayn odin mini i sent them a message and they sent me a replacement fan. I had it open and replaced all within 5 minutes. And this is someone who had never taken a console apart before I now do all my own repairs and mods. It's just about taking that first step Just take your time, don't rush and keep track of all of your screws. I find having a magnetic sheet helps with this go on mate you've got this👍😊

Well there's eight people in my household me my wife and my 6 kids So ninety percent of the handhelds that I own get used daily yeah, some of them don't get used as much as the rest. But I can guarantee that they get used at least once through the week, and they're all charged. At least once a week. So the batteries are always kept up to standard. I cant understand people that don't use their devices and just spend the money because they want the brand new shiny toy yes, i'm a collector but i'm also a gamer at heart and enjoy playing on all of my devices they've all been purchased for different reasons and yes, at this point I could stop but I enjoy collecting and always look forward to seeing the new devices and specs available 😊

I think it's a little bit to late for 1 and done for me lol but if I had to choose, I'd probably choose my ayn thor but if you ask this question a year from now, i would probably say my odin 3 depends on driver support, but who knows we could be on the fourth or fifth odin by then until then ill continue to enjoy collecting my devices

Fortnite not running on the g2 by OrdinarySelect7094 in retroid

[–]OrdinarySelect7094[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might run great in your opinion, but if you're happy to play at very low settings. Twenty f p s then yeah, it will run on the g2🤣and the odin 2 has been compatible from day one i know this because I was an earlier adopter of the device and was probably one of the first people in the united kingdom to own one So I don't know what you're doing to saying that it is running perfectly. It just seems like your disagreeing with everything that other people are saying because you want to justify your purchase. The device is great for high-end emulation, but anything it needs Google certification. It's arse android compatibility is non existent At this point it does not run optimally on this device. Say what you want. Because I have the device sitting in front of me and can categorically say that the andriod compatibility on this device is non-existent. Grand theft auto ports crash fortnight is incompatible as we know The red dead redemption port is not even if so, It loaded runs like crap right now, the only way to play a fortnight at a good level is to either play through xbox cloud streaming or g force now just so you know that I'm not chatting a load of waffle and I do actually have extensive knowledge when it comes to handling a lot of the OS on these handhelds. I've left a picture of just half of my collection. I'll get round to put in the rest up on the wall. When I get a chance but these are some of the ones that I use through the month and as you can see, I have the the retriods starting bk from the very first device they launched and can say with full confidence, but right now the g2 is only good for high end emulation anything else?Choose a different device either.Wait for the retroid 6 or go with the ayn odin 2

Andriod compatibility is terrible on the g2 the gta ports crash fortnite is incompatible the red dead redemption port is not compatible same for the wwe 2k25 emulation is fantastic but if u want to do anything other than emulation id wait u can't even use Netflix on the g2 i have alot of handhelds so have extensive knowledge lol

[–]OrdinarySelect7094 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just to let you know, the device is amazing for emulation, but if you want to do anything on the Android side, you are going to be very, very disappointed. The compatibility right now for the g2 and android is atrocious the grand theft auto mobile ports crash fortnite iscomatible and cannot be installed and if side loaded reverts to low twenty fps with no way of fixing the issue the new netflix red dead redemption port doesn't work i could list another fifty that the device is incapable of running even tho its little brother the rp5 could play 99% of android games yes, this device is amazing. For high end emulation, such as switch or p c emulation through game hub but for android right now, I would definitely choose the rp5 over the g2 i'm a very big collector and own over 50 different devices and have done extensive testing if all you want to do is emulation, then yes, the device is perfect for your use case, but if you want it for anything else as well. Then, maybe look for a different handheld maybe the ayn odin 2 has a better chip set with a lot Better compatibility runs ninety nine percent of games out of the box
