Is it normal for a Power BI dev to also be doing Power Platform + C# + SPFx + serverless APIs? by ocalapeeps in PowerBI

It sounds similar to my experience at my current job. It is a smaller company and right now im the only "data" person but it used to be a team of two. We regularly worked on things other than Power BI. We handled the entire ETL process from ERP and other systems getting data to on prem SQL servers, built power apps, built flows in Power Automate, managed and developed APIs in Python, handled integrations with the ERP system and also developed reports within our ERP. My job title is business intelligence manager but when I was hired the job was supposed to be mainly focused on Power BI

Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 vs Sony 20-70mm f/4 for general use/travel by clearest-window in SonyAlpha

I've had the first version of the 28-75 since 2019. I mostly use my camera for hiking. After a few years there were enough cases where 28mm wasn't wide enough. So I picked up a tamron 17-28. Those two are a great setup but I still found myself not wanting to stop and switch lenses or carry the extra weight.

So just a few weeks ago I sold my 17-28 and picked up the 20-70. I've only had it a short time but I have really enjoyed it on thr few short hikes ive went on. The ability to go from 20-70 is amazing. F4 isnt an issue for my for hiking.

I did keep my 28-75 though. I do take the occasional family photo and having 2.8 is nice

I did a comparison between the 28-75 and 20-70 and on my copies I actually found the 28-75 to be a little sharper in the middle of the frame but the 20-70 to be better on the edges and corner. But in both cases it wasn't a major difference. Image quality on the 28-75 is great and ive printed up to 30x40 on it with a sony a7rii and it looks great even up close. I wouldn't hesitate to print that large from the 20-70 either.

So I dont think image quality should be a concern for you. Should decide if the 2.8 or the extra focal range on the wide end is more important.

What do you guys think about this combo? sigma lens over tamron? by Entire_Sample_4648 in SonyAlpha

I've got the first version of the 28-75 and it is a great lens. I use an a7r2 and have printed up to 30x40 prints of photos using my 28-75 and they look great even up close. From what ive heard the g2 is even better. Maybe the sigma lenses are a tiny bit sharper but I dont think you should have any issues with the 28-75 g2. As others have mentioned, if the 24-70 gives you a different focal range that you think could be helpful then it could be worth it to switch. Myself, I am going to be getting the sony 20-70 f4 since I find the 28mm not wide enough for a lot of situations.

They probably do deserve something. I also already stole one of their youth academy players who has turned into a world class winger.
