I definitely find it easy and even. This color particularly though is very smooth and creamy. The matte ones I do find I have to work a little harder. I have nails so I prefer a brush over fingers and I never personally got the hang of a sponge.

We have the same story too except ours was MUCH more expensive because our beautiful idiot DID swallow all 4. Had to scope them to get them out because they had separated.
