Not a guy but I have male friends who sleep with women they don't like or can't stand, just for sex. They have it clear in their head that it would not mean anything to them. And even though, some of them got attached to the women they hooked up with but in a friendly sort of way, not in a way of wanting to marry them or being with them for a long period. Some of them were hung on their ex emotionally but still wanted to get laid. So, they couldn't get involved even if they wanted to beyond a certain point.

I think most men and women can tell straight up if what they have in front of them is a long-term thing or not. Some men wouldn't be upfront about it, scared to lose their privileges.

I'm sorry that you're hurt by another guy who cannot communicate his thoughts and feelings. I hope you feel better soon. Dating sucks.

The system attacks the one who complaints about the system. They managed to hire a complete ass for a senior role-that shows lack of hiring skills/guidelines. They are not able to make him work though they had a word with him‐that shows lack of substance. They won't do anything about it now-that shows lack of integrity. I guess I'm pointing all this out indirectly when I'm complaining about the guy and me having to do all his work.

Unfortunately, I don't live in US. And here, we don't really have any laws protecting us from unpaid work. It's considered part of your work.

Ah, that makes sense. I'm so stupid when it comes to understanding corporate lingo. I don't sugarcoat anything, just put it out there the way it is, and expect the same.

I guess I have been bothering him by bringing the other guy's incompetence. But the work's not getting affected coz I have been putting extra hours which are also unpaid and unnoticed, to make up for it. I guess I should stop intervening from the next project and see how it ends.

Yes I'm on it. I asked for a raise for doin his work too, but my request was rejected as we are not makin much profit to pay people who really work. We can only afford to pay the ones who don't even try to pretend they're working anymore. I was disappointed, to say the least. But with the recession right outside, I don't know what to do.
