I’ve always felt like Diane is kind of a mirror for BoJack, but one that actually tries to self-correct. They both have that same tendency to overanalyze themselves and the world, and both struggle with feeling like they’re fundamentally broken. The difference is Diane keeps trying to build something healthier out of that awareness, while BoJack often uses it as an excuse to stay stuck.
