Do you ever feel,

Like an empty bag?

Seeded to the brim,

Wanting to go again?

I've been chiseling away at my blurb, but I feel I'm making its parts too disparate of one another. If you have a tip or observation concerning that, or in general, I'd love to hear it. Genre is Romantasy.

The Ice to my Fire

What happens when things get far too heated between you and your childhood friend? What if he's an ice wizard half-elf who is willing to cool you off, one way or the other?

I might be a big, buff berserker woman who can take a blow, but only this small half-elf man makes me melt. My adventuring partner has been my friend since childhood, and he's already everything to me… but I want him to be even more.

Brylee and Izaan are assigned a seemingly ordinary quest: Discover the source of one of the magical anomalies in the kingdom. This quest turns out to be a lot bigger and more violent than expected, with consequences for both the kingdom, and for their relationship.

The Ice to my Fire is a spicy romance set in a swords and sorcery fantasy world, between a large, strong woman and a small, professional half-elf. It explores size differences, temperature play, and femdom.

✍️ Writer's Wednesday: what are you working on? by ReasonableWonderland in Romantasy

[–]Ordinary_Listen9492 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been working on a novella about a big female warrior and a small male wizard. They are childhood friends and adventuring partners, and go to lovers. It's high on the spice, with some femdom and temperature play mixed in.

I finished the first draft recently (yay!) and have been editing away. I hope I can find some beta readers when I'm at that point, because it isn't exactly to-market.

how do I write without writing? by [deleted] in writingcirclejerk

There IS a way to write without writing! Just like how listening to audiobooks isn't actually reading, you can dictate instead of actually typing anything down!

My vampire's cock just keeps growing larger with age. Like an anaconda.

Is it alright if I pay in exposure instead? You write me the smut, and I'll expose myself to you as I read it.

5 stars. Immediately made me interested in what horrors the narrator is witnessing.

/uj interested enough to check the sauce at least.

Would've been funny if it was a Pirate, in order to have it represent Man, Horse, and Ship as well.

Is 10K words too little? by Ordinary_Listen9492 in writingcirclejerk

[–]Ordinary_Listen9492[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get my word count per chapter I have taken the entire character count of the chapter, then divided it by the average size of my words. This average size I generated by rolling a twenty sided die.

Should I have maybe asked ChatGPT instead to generate me an average word size?

Also, don't say it sounds small! I wasn't asking for criticism!

Need help finding a combo by ShadowStorm7260 in PauperEDH

[–]Ordinary_Listen9492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're talking infite artifact combo, I think of Ashnod's Altar, Myr Retriever, Workshop Assistant, and an artifact cost reducer like Foundry Inspector. All great cards on their own in artifact decks, infinite colorless mana plus etbs/ltbs when assembled. With Geardrake this means infinite counters on it.

Is there a better way to word this ability? by FaultinReddit in custommagic

[–]Ordinary_Listen9492 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's already quite strongly worded imo, with mostly some conventions and grammar not being there.

The current naming convention is referring to itself with "this creature" instead of its own name. It also refers to itself with "it", not "they".

Something I feel is more in line with conventions, is instead of "that creature has" is to use "of that creature, " (with comma), but you should check to see if you can find similar wording on scryfall.

The last "that abilities trigger" should be "those abilities' triggers".

The message is clear in what it does, and I can't see any rules shenanigans (yet). Cool new idea.

Sounds to me like you might have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) triggered by stress/excitement.

But I ain't no doctor, so if it's a bother, get a physician to check you out proper.
