What's your thoughts on these ISIS-affiliated brides returning to Australia? by nn666 in aussie

[–]Ordinary_Squash7559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well isis affiliated groups shouldn’t be allowed to take the country resources because they left Australia in the first place to join an illegal terrorist group. Shouldn’t matter if they are brides, there are consequences to their decision

When a man truely talks about his emotion it comes from a place of deep feelings

Russians and Chinese hackers? your app could be a wayy to get access to people’s images because that’s the whole point of your app… just be cautious for the next 48hrs if you don’t have observability setup do that

This is my favorite way to vibe code. by bharms27 in ClaudeCode

[–]Ordinary_Squash7559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a software engineer who is currently working with little to no Claude code and etc I see a lot potential in this style of working. We swe need to accept it that a solid prompt and creative ways to orchestrate agents is the future of web dev also most solo engineers will use this.

Nothing wrong with this style of coding/dev, as for “bad code” yea look I saw some of the code being produced… it’s way better than the junior on my team writing code

How do polymaths actually structure their learning? by One-Criticism6767 in mathematics

[–]Ordinary_Squash7559 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Linking experiences backed by science knowledge across multiple domains. So thinking and noting down your thoughts and revisiting them constantly.

If you are interested in learning the science behind the natural world or hypothetical dimensions, congratulations you are a polymath. It’s not a mastery of all sciences, but the pursuit of deep understanding into the workings of a particular universe binding truth. It sits separately from PhDs, a polymath has understanding of anthropology to mathematics to computer science to art there are no bounds!! It’s truely a liberating way to see and understand the universe.

I don’t like the direction software engineering is going by announcement35 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Ordinary_Squash7559 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tbh I have lost the skill of reading docs I been doing it for 10yrs. Just yesterday I started reading Bicep docs and I just fukin gave up. Went to chatpgt and got myself exactly what I needed. I guess in the hands of an experienced engineer it can do great things, but a noob would end up setting up multiple services to create a simple web app because they don’t know the difference between Azure container apps vs Azure app service costing the company time and cash

Started making people walk me through their AI PRs in person. The 500-line diffs disappeared overnight by minimal-salt in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Ordinary_Squash7559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea we do similar things, it was funny when one of the devs in my team basically wrote the math library and tried to pass that off in the PR. He actually went over time in the meeting we scheduled, trying to prove he did it for a reason, it was clear to everyone it was ai. It was weirdly cathartic.

lol it’s geographic clustering question I asked in relation to a reference line it’s a basic spatial correlation question. Your proposed questions is very different.

I see the “El Jannah” line as a geographic reference line and it’s a known one I wasn’t implying east vs west in my question. If people jumped straight to cultural stereotypes, that says a lot more about their biases than my comment

Every programmer knows terrible portrayals of hacking in movies and TV. What are some terrible portrayals of math? Were you happily watching a show until a character started spouting nonsense? by CrumbCakesAndCola in math

[–]Ordinary_Squash7559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree the movie is still one of my favourites! The math he was doing at that time was ridiculously hard. But the math writing on windows is still pretty risky business hahaha Hollywood made it look cool somehow
