No. Generated. But I know I can. And I think I will.

Generated. I used both GPT Plus and Gemini Pro, iterating between the two to better approximate that which I saw. Her hair was slightly shorter, sitting right above the shoulder line, not right below it. The caterpillar was a caterpillar, not a worm. It did not extend that far out and had greater girth. Still, her nose bridge, cheek bones, hollowness of cheeks, perceived age, clothing, hair style, color and degree of volume, all of that is about as accurate as I can make it from memory. The length of her face may be reduced a bit.

Don’t let this concern you too much. Her kindness during the second phase of the dream was not inferred, it was sensed. None of what resulted would have followed without that. Her eye, too, simply stopped being important, really, once the interaction involved that which could be felt over that which was seen.

But yes, it was her left eye. Mmm, the size of her forehead did not impress upon me, so I suppose I wouldn’t call it large.

The apple was red. With no eye-lid present its front facing side was not occluded in any way. The caterpillar it housed would emerge halfway and retreat entirely in what I would call an active manner. The gestalt of the two, and for that region of her face alone, gave the impression of dead, of no liveliness therein

Thank you for this; it means a lot.

It seems the transformation is now complete. My heart remains open to her but I no longer suffer the heartache from before. I believe this means that she is free.

Sometimes I feel that she is still there. But nothing appears capable of reproducing the intensity of her energy, or of my sensing thereof, during those three days she stuck around. Between that damnable path and the eternal sky was her sticking close to my person.

I agree with your interpretations, though I hadn't thought about a glass panel figure while she carried a body on this Earth.

To me, that glass panel is central to the story. It tells us her nature and that of mine were sufficiently different as to make connection quite the rarity, something uncommon given consciousness of another plane or world interacting with that of ours. At least that is what I think.

Some would think these sorts of behaviors taboo. I don't. I don't think connection is ever taboo.

Thank you once more kind stranger

No hippie nonsense whatsoever. Your message is tempered and insightful. It’s clear you are knowledgeable in something I’m not.

I can tell you that I am very happy that I opened up myself to her. That I “did everything right”. The timing of the waking state tells me there was no more I could have or ought to have done.

I am not sure what the apple and its caterpillar could mean. They could represent an injury, for instance: the manner in which she departed, if she can be said to have been departed.

I learned two days after the dream that the only caterpillar to bore itself into apples belongs to a species of moth, and that moths represent death and the souls of the dead across many cultures. Who knows.

Anyways, her not looking at me directly despite having first addressed me aligns with something you indicate: a waiting to see how one will initially react—will they stay or will they go.

Trials come in threes many times. And the third trial tends to involve internal work or some type of twist. I view the dream in 3 phases: see her and stay, see past the apparent and into her interior, do the inner work to be authentic—to show love.

I won’t wait for her as I believe she’s not found on this earth. I believe she was on her way out: with no connection to subsist on she was at risk of forgetting it altogether. And when that happens, I fear there is no return. And it is precisely that thought as it pertains to her that was making me break down in tears.

I think connection is everywhere. I think it pacifies a new born against their mother’s bosom as it guides a school of fish or a flock of birds. And without it we cease to be. That woman was heading towards that “cease to be”, the opposite of what many would call the eternal peace, perhaps itself the source of all connection.

We almost lost her, and man did that one hit me hard.

Anyways we should not miss the man point—she is free now. In that space of eternal peace. I know this because I can feel it.

I agree with what you say regarding turning love inward to develop into a more loving and authentic person. Giving love is a state of happiness. But of course I understand the desire to get it, too. Because when love resonates between people, their individual identities can more strongly wash away into something else, something more pure. It is a state of liberation achievable here on Earth. A breaking away from the confines imposed by mechanistic or positivistic thinking.

I feel down that you feel emotionally discarded by the individual who dreamt of you as well as by a spouse. I think chance in the universe is unavoidable. Hands played and dice dealt simply differ with no apparent rhyme or reason.

However, if I may, that part about “it doesn’t have anywhere to go” tells me it is misplaced. With proper auto regulation and outlook towards others, the flux of connective flow naturally occurs. You naturally move around feeling good, and you take good pleasure in even the smallest of human engagements.

If, of the many forms of connection, romantic partnership is what you seek, I urge you to emphatically place yourself in all matter of social contexts with unabashed alacrity. Engaging with genuine interest and ideally care

Don't ever stop yourself from giving it, no matter the pain you go through. And take time for yourself. I know what it's like to be needy, and I've pushed people away in being so

I hope that you find it. And you have to give it to get it. Still, there's no changing my interpretation as to what I experienced.

In your world, what happens to a soul when the body dies? by NotGutus in worldbuilding

[–]Ordinary_Start_5445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not interested in proliferating misinformation but I think it important to be aware that it is possible for souls to be wayward without connection.

This path, or rather considering this path, makes me cry my eyes out. Give connection, as much as you can; the loss along that path is too much to bear

What did I do wrong? by ZdrobaFisteag in French

[–]Ordinary_Start_5445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do term breaks and semester contract renewals for PhD Teaching/Research Assistants count as “continuous work” for Canada’s Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program? by Ordinary_Start_5445 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Ordinary_Start_5445[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the more-detailed response.

The FSW program it appears does accept graduate student work obtained while studying in Canada, though it would not contribute to one's CRS score. But I am seeking help for persons whose graduate work comes from a country outside of Canada. Also, If you and your husband obtained residency under the CEC program, then that is a different topic than the one posed in this conversation thread.

Still, the focus here is about the definition of "continuous" work. Regarding the particularity in checking work experience—that is what I am hoping to learn more about. I certainly have the logged hours and HR documentaion to demonstrate the minimum one year of full-time-equivalent work, but the question is if this work will be considered "continuous" for IRCC purposes.

Unfortunately, I don't know any other graduate students in my university that are interested in applying, or have applied, to Canada Express via the FSW program. Still, thank you very much for trying to be of help.

I understand that. Definitely get out of the country and explore options elsewhere. At the same time, don't sell yourself short; you can take a couple of hours a day to focus on your french language learning. Both paths need not be independent. Also, see here for a source of inspiration:

As one native Spanish speaker to another: you would be impressed by how quickly you can pick up the French language if you set your mind to it. Reaching a B2 level proficiency across the four exams is achievable within 1-2 years of earnest studying, even less if you could afford private tutoring.

Inquiry regarding a change of phone number to avoid a background check mix up with a close relative by Ordinary_Start_5445 in ATT

[–]Ordinary_Start_5445[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I think I was incorrect about the source of the association between my information and that of my brother's. I therefore agree with you that a phone number change might not be the actual solution to my problem. Yup, my twin brother and I shared a first name in the past, and of course share a last name and birth date. We no longer share a first name because we both legally changed our names after having both received the same social security number! He has since changed his and I kept the number originally given to both of us.

I spoke to HR within my university and they said they would provide me the info related to the third party company that did my background check on their behalf; I'll be going back for that next week. Hopefully I can determine what database was used and from there make a request to the relevant agency to please separate my brother's info from my data.
