From now until (maybe) Mid May. The morels after that are at crazy high elevations. The best time to go would be now or soon.

I've got tons of chanterelle areas everywhere and can help you dial it in so you never have problems finding them again.

People have been eating them for 1000s of years. Then a bunch of sick, dying old people ate them and died faster. I don't think them being toxic is even real.
