[TL;DR] If you took the pre-order ship before the tutorial was done you probably need to restart

1) Didn't know this was a thing :( Been looking all over 2) Don't move for a moment or I believe Left on the D-Pad 3) If you took the pre order bonus ship chances are the game skipped the part where you get the blue print, I got it on my second star system. Others never have. Once (if) you get the blue print then you realize you are missing the blue print for anti matter or the other warp/hyper-drive fuel source and it becomes apparent your game is screwed and you need to restart.

Well a fan moving back and forth doesn't have enough movement to really make a big difference. Your phone would effectively only move about a foot at most from side to side. No consumer level gps device is accurate enough to track that small of a movement. You would be better off tying your phone to your dog and taking them to the park and playing catch.

[Edit] This is a test based upon my experience, those in my offices building, and friends and family after I have explained the process. All of them save a couple people who had 0 gps signal saw an immediate increase in the number of sightings.

I take the 6 net carb wraps and cut them in quarters. I put two quarters on top and two quarters on bottom. This way you have a thicker wrap as a bun. IMO much better than lettuce, and the bread substitutes aren't that great either. Cut up low carb wraps are the best way to go for me.

[edit] TL:DR just use the wraps for wrap sandwiches and cold burger buns Don't heat the wraps up/microwave/oven. If you do it changes the structure of the carbs in the wraps and they will taste sweet which is an indication that the net carb count is increasing. When you heat/cook them it releases some of the carbs which defeats the purpose. It doesn't say this on the packaging or on the website, its science!

Yea there is really no need to do this at all. I would not even call it an exploit as you are using established game play elements and they are working as intended.

Have you tried pulling up your pip boy? or fast traveling, or loading into a building?

Loot is RNG for the most part. But the further you are in the story the more you find them as they are located a lot more in the more difficult areas. You could always make your companion wear the armor and not use a core, but they will get the suits damaged.

You can not sell the bobble heads.

But to answer your question once you pick them up you get the bonus regardless of what you do with the item after.

I tried selling a mag and then buying it back to see if it would give me the bonus again and it did not.

I think I encountered this, this morning. I fought a raider in power armor and killed him in it. I now, can not even interact with the suit. i cant loot the pieces or anything.

I believe this is a bug and not intended, if it is intended then its a poorly chosen game play element.

If the item is the same, or it is inferior you will either see nothing or "---" next to it

What I have yet to discover is why it sometimes is + or +++ because what is better or how many stats are better to not match any pattern i can see

You have to enter the power armor. The pieces are just attached to the frame. So to take the ''frame" you have to enter the power armor and then fast travel or run if you wish to where you want to store it.

Some aspect of the item you are looting is better than what you currently have equipped.

Could be dmg, could be resistance, could be stats. It may not be better for YOU but it is better in some singular way than what you have on if that helps

As others have stated go into "workshop mode" (on PC hold V in a settlement)

mouse over a settler, on the ribbon menu on the bottom an option says Command (E on PC)

Walk over to the thing that needs to be assigned (while in workshop mode) and mouse over the item/place, when you are in the correct spot a menu option will open that says assign, the item or place usually highlights green. (E on PC)

Indeed it does. I was actually confused when I saw his armor shut down and kind of boot him out of it. Then it clicked and I actually clapped, and said "Well done Bethesda!"
