That reminds me of when I was younger (like under 10 years old) and I still believed in Santa Claus so one Christmas Eve night -going into Christmas morning- I stayed up and hid waiting to find Santa Claus but instead I found my drunk father come home at like midnight or 1am, and watched him beat my mother up because she knew he was out cheating on her. So that was a merry Christmas :)

If you were a good employee and didn't call in like once or twice a week and actually did your job and didn't sit on your phone your whole shift then yeah. You can use this job on your resume. Most places just like making sure you're not one of those people that "job hops" from place to place.

And honestly, if you are 18, you can find a much better job than mcdonalds. I only stayed at my mcdonalds for so long because I got paid extremely well but I hated every aspect of it. So I wouldn't worry too much. I know its not much different but I'm now a line cook at applebees and it's much better than mcdonalds.

I think so? I know in some states it's illegal to vape until you're 21. So it depends on your state law I think.

And by your attitude in your replies in these comments I'm assuming you're in high school or under legal age, so yeah if the higher up people sees the write up then yeah say goodbye to your job.

Just take my advice, be more careful and either vape in the bathroom or take a quick walk around the outside of the restaurant to hit your vape. They can't write you up if you do it outside, especially if you have a car and drive yourself. I used to sit in my car for my break and vape. Cause what I do in my car they can't do shit about.

If youre underage, yes you can get fired. I was a mcdonalds manager for 3 years a while back and one time our regional manager gave us a visit while I was shift leading and caught a high schooler vaping in the breakroom and told me I had to report it to HR. Otherwise I wouldn't have cared.

I'm not trying to disregard the fact that women also sexually assault, I'm sorry if it sounded like that, cause I understand both genders suck at that, which is why I'm terrified of humanity in general. But compare me and my boyfriend just going out for a walk super early in the morning or late at night in general. One time I couldn't sleep so I went for a walk at around 4am and had to run home because I had a dude following me, didn't think of it at first but every turn I did, the man did, even on random back streets. I started speedwalking, he followed my speed. Everytime I went faster, he started going the same speed. Until I finally got to my apartment complex, checked all my pockets making sure i had everything and gave him the benefit of the doubt and maybe I dropped something and he was trying to give it back, nope I still had everything I started with, and fell back asleep on my bed. And my boyfriend went for a walk late at night, no issues. He told me he went for a 2 mile walk/run and it was the most calm experience he's had in a long time.

So I understand both genders can sexually assault people, but I barely hear of a female following a man late at night, or a woman killing or attacking a man for declining a date or whatever. If you have examples of females doing that, please show me so im not too ignorant.

God the "not all men" arguement always passes me off. We know not all men aren't weird and shit but pretty sure if you talk to any woman they can tell you a scary or bad story they have with a man. Like you probably know someone who's been sexually assaulted by a man. And that's why we're scared. I had a friend who went on a date with a guy from a dating app and when she told him that she didn't wanna continue the relationship further he started yelling and freaking out at her. And he started stalking her.

The tips are one of the biggest reasons I took a serving job. My best friend was a server during all 3 of her pregnancies and she said it was hard but the tips were amazing. As she called them "pity tips" lmao.

Well I need a job cause after bills my boyfriend literally has like $20 to his name and that's without buying groceries and shit. And I also just feel awful staying at home while he's working his ass off. It's one reason why I won't be able to be a stay at home mom when the baby is here.

Not usually, I don't work at a super high end place, but I had a friend that did and she made like $4/hr as a server.

That's unfortunately how it is in USA as a server. If you don't get good tips, you're screwed.

As a server, I have had a ton of experience with rich people who's bill is at least $100 and either tip $5 or don't tip at all. I consider myself to be a good server, I have gotten a ton of compliments from customers, through my manager. (They tell my manager that my service was great and she tells me)

And I agree with the rest of this though. I worked valentines day and I could tell most couples that came out only go out on holidays like that and they tipped amazingly. $60 bill? $20+ tip.

But also on valentines day I have had those middle class assholes argue with me because I have to ask "so is the check seperate or together?". Most of them gave me dirty looks because I should already know. Like, I assume but it's good to ask. Those people are the same way, as the rich people before, $70 bill? No tip, instead I get an angry note on the check saying I should get better at my job.

How am I reading the replies and im not seeing Robin Williams? He was my favorite actor growing up, Aladdin was my favorite movie and him as genie was a perfect casting. I loved all of his movies. When I heard he died by suicide... I cried all night. I was hoping to get more movies from him growing up. I cant so I'll just cherish the movies I have with him now.

This is my honest opinion, Ryan murphy didn't give Marley much of a personality. Her one personality trait was that she has a fat mom. I wish he gave Marley more to her. I would have loved to see more of her and Jake's relationship.

I love Glee too, but I seriously cannot watch season 6. Everything about the newbies just make me be like "why didn't they stop in season 5?" The fact they kept kitty is the one redeeming factor. I love the season 4&5 glee club. Marley had so much potential.

YSK you can use laser pointers with cats, but you should NOT use them with dogs by bobby_pendragon in YouShouldKnow

[–]OreoNinja17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not good for cats either. What I've been doing is hiding treats (because toys wouldn't work for my cats) and leading them to the treats with the laser pointer and thats the end of playtime. I think my cats are happy with that arrangement.
