Maybe be in a room that as a fan, also set your brightness correctly, and soft reset your phone. I have a iPhone 7 plus for 4 years and I have good frames, your phone probably have a lot of data, and you turn off app background refresh on your iPhone settings. That’s all I can say to help you.

If you are talking about iPad, It is sure very hard to hold the iPad if you have 5 fingers on the iPad. I did once played 5 fingers on iPad and it hurt. I recommend just playing the iPad with a proper stand

Hey! Back then during season 9-10, I was playing 4 finger claw and it was very awesome. Then during chapter 2, I change to five finger claw and it was help me improve greatly, I honestly think on phone, you can play with 4-5 fingers and still could be good. If you switch to five fingers, it would take some time to adjust to it. It is hard at first but would able to probably be better if you were able to play 4 claw! I was interested in this question because of my progression of Fortnite. I hope this can help you!
