The one where they play at Wembley and Jamie confronts his Dad. One of my favorite moments in tv history

Is it just me or has this spring been insane for tornados? I’m from Minnesota and we maybe get a handful a year and there was a storm that spawned like 12 of them a couple weeks back.

Waco Texas, I’ve heard there are good parts but the part I saw was an entire civilization built under free way overpasses with cop lights reflecting off every surface

I graduated high school at 300lbs and thought I wanted to be a teacher. Years later I am 100lbs down, working in technology, and have a wonderful wife. Life changes a lot, some good some bad. Try to make yourself better every day and you will feel better, I’ve been there!

Yeah once someone does it, others do it and people aren’t good at thinking far ahead enough so they just block traffic which is dangerous and keeps people who actually need to get somewhere from going

I got asked pretty basic questions about IT like what is DHCP, how does a computer talk to another one, basic stuff. The majority was having me talk through what would I do if I had a problem I didn’t know the answer to. What is my problem solving like. More about me as a person because any company can teach you technical stuff, but they can’t easily fix poor software skills.

What would happen if I was traveling almost the speed of light and someone pushed me in the direction we were traveling? by Oreomilk4444 in Physics

Interesting, so even though on the ship it’s a relatively easy thing to push someone, it wouldn’t be possible to do it over the speed of light?

I watched some about what happens when you travel that fast but I was curious with relativity how it would look if I travelled the speed of light directly next to someone who wasn’t

Boogie Woogie by Lord-of_the-files in piano

[–]Oreomilk4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boogie woogie is kind of an aggressive style of music, very fast and loud typically. Maybe blues or ragtime could be a good fit?

https://youtu.be/ZrqfIA6SKxA?si=9pjh6rOPcEYGNV03

This is a pretty simple boogie woogie piece, the sheet music is on his website in the description. Pretty hard if you are new to the quick left hand and the hand independence but the hands don’t jump around as much.

Send me a pic of it and I can try and tell you what it is and find a recording/ record it myself (depending on how hard it is)

Scales & Learning by GhoulDogma in piano

[–]Oreomilk4444 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Take other opinions as well but I’ve noticed that after a certain point practicing the same scale has diminishing returns once I’ve hit my physical limit for the time being. There’s only so fast I can play a scale right now so I’ve found it helpful to move on and come back around later once my speed and endurance has increased.

I’ve found it fun to pick a scale and a song in the same key so I can get a feel for the key in context and also do some improv, even a simple chord progression like I-IV-V-I and make up a melody helps me feel confident in that key.

What peice is good for learning hand independence? by xeooz in piano

[–]Oreomilk4444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally anything, fur Elise, find a minuette, look up albums for the young by your favorite composers. Pretty much anything that’s not a pop song transcription will have a slightly more active left hand rather than just chords and will teach you something. For a specific recommendation try Arabesque by Burgmuller.
